ReplyDeleteGood that these things are going about.
ReplyDeleteThe conditions in our college campus are very dismal though. The men pass intolerable comments and when confronted avenge themselves by hurting even more. the targeted gals have little support
I made a blog about one such incident this evening.

keep the spirit ever burning for women's rights and freedom
ReplyDeleteI have been keenly following up this blog. Women issues interest me, partly because my wife is a social activist and partly because no man can ever pay the debt of having loaned the womb prior to his birth for nine odd months...
ReplyDeleteHowever the context of this blog is quite out of focus. There has been a panty campaign , of free distribution of panties to Ram Sene leaders. Next there has been a pub get together and now lot of art work and creative talent is being showcased.
Any sane human would like to ponder "hey what r u all upto?" .This blog has been caught inbetween actual plight of women and the sex starved/maniac women; both of them seeking freedom.
For the woman in need, alcohol, pubs, mini skirts et al, carry little meaning. Her day to day activities surpass untold upheavals struggling all her way in a packed city bus with drooling men, an edgy boss who loves to keep staring below her neck , an egoistic husband who knows no compromise between tiredness and delightful dinner followed by a bout of sex. The woman takes it all. There is a need to free this woman, because she could be someone whom we know, someone very near to us.
Does this blog take care of women in need?
Probably no. Judging by all the talent that has gone in to shape this blog, it is quite obvious that this is a Page3 chapter of Women's lib. It caters to community members who frequent the bar, exchange partners and trade modesty. It has very little to do with the woman in need.
The Panty campaign as the name suggests is sexual. It craves for sexual liberation, albeit Indian style.

ReplyDeleteBJP activists attack 'Christian' Chaplin statue
ReplyDeletehttp://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/BJP-activists-attack-Christian-Chaplin-statue/articleshow/4265487.cms
Again on the news are the jokers of Karnataka. These assholes doesnot have anything good to do.
This is most vulgar form of politics. Real issues like farmer distress, infrastructural problems, a stop to aya ram gaya ram politics which involves crores of money, the alarmingly high crime incidents occurring in bangalore (like frequent murders of elderly citizens), the failed policing system etc. These ass holes want to hide these real issues and make mockery of the people who have elected them.
@Predict
ReplyDeleteThis campaign is against all hate mongers. If you have some thing called brain, you can easily see through the game plan of Sangh Parivar. Their point of hatred always looks for new forms of preys.
1. Women in pub
2. Women in jeans
3. Hindus with muslim friends
4. Burqa wearing muslims
5. Anything christian
So now I guess the game plan is clear to you, or are as dumb as you seem to be?
This grouping should not stop here, and it should keep on working among the people highlighting issues regarding women. Such continuos work will make people more sensitive towards the issues of women. Wish you all the best.

ReplyDeleteHeres the same news as reported in Hindustan times and I did a search of the entire news and found no mention of BJP

I thought that maybe my search in firefox is faulty so did a search in google chrome again no mention of BJP. The article just says local villagers opposed and red tapism.
To make my point clear about TOI here are 2 reports of same news as reported in TOI and Indian Express. Please read both and tell me what do you understand.

ReplyDeleteIf you are really concerned about farmer issues then you be protesting in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh which top the chart in farmer suicides
And as far as other crimes are concerned shouldn't you be more concerned about UP and Delhi (I don't say this- the modern TOI says this)
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Human-rights-violation-maximum-in-UP-Delhi-Survey/articleshow/4266607.cms
"NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh has topped the list of states with maximum number of complaints relating to human rights
violation and New Delhi follows
a close second, according to NHRC statistics.
The statistics reveal that out of the total 94,559 cases of human rights violation last year, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) received 55,216 from Uttar Pradesh alone. "

When you can hurt feelings of so many, with your idiotic campaign ,did you expect there wont be anybody more dumb ?
Whether it is hindu fundamentalists or christian fundamentalists, they are a threat to the very existence of our country. So both of them are ass holes. Got it?
ReplyDeleteThis blog is about the immoral attacks of sangh parivar on girls and minorities in Karnataka. So post incidents happening in Karnataka here. Got it?
Post incidents happening in TamilNadu, UP, Bihar in some other relevant forum.
TOI and HT have reported the same incident in their own ways. BJP's love for christian's is well known and came out from the series of attacks on churches. Some one with common sense can understand BJP's intentions.
Rape is the most cruel form of violence on a woman, which leaves irreparable damage to her through out her life. Salim's case is luring a girl in the name of love and sexually exploiting her, which is rape. The most humane punishment for rape, in my opinion, is castration, also he has to be tried for perpetrating suicide.
Any form of violence whether committed by a hindu, muslim or christian has to be condemned. For example purdah system is a form of harassment, nun ship is another form of harassment, caste system is another thing that has to be opposed. In short, all forms of violence in the name of religion or God has to be opposed and defeated. Jai Hind.
@Born Hindu
ReplyDelete>> Sabne chaddi utari ? ya sabki chaddi fati ?
Muthalikji ka chaddi utara (ya fat gaya ). That is why there is no more attacks on girls.
Learn from Orissa
ReplyDelete-----------------
Karnataka BJP has to learn from the debacle BJP faced in Orissa. Kandhamal series of violence did not yield them any support from the people. The results of Kandhamal civic polls showed that BJP cannot capitalise on violence as a tool to make supporters. It is important for the future of BJP, to change its course.
Karnataka CM Yaddyurappa should not forget the past behind him as a mass leader who organized bonded labourers and landless peasants struggles. BJP should leave aside its policy of manufacturing hate, which will only result in self destruction of our country. Yaddyurappa should come forward and make course correction for the sake of Karnataka.
What you sow is what you reap!!
ReplyDeletehttp://samachaar.in/Politics/BJP_performs_poorly_in_Kandhamal,_Bhubaneswar_civic_polls_69386/
Rupesh,
ReplyDeleteWhy do I see a change in tone now. Couple of comments back you were advising BJP to concentrate on Farmers and other crimes now you ask people that this is not the relevant forum.
"Earlier you laid out you 5-point evils of the society you are fighting
1. Women in pub
2. Women in jeans
3. Hindus with muslim friends
4. Burqa wearing muslims
5. Anything christian"
Now you start talking about any form of crime. What happened?
"This blog is about the immoral attacks of sangh parivar on girls and minorities in Karnataka. So post incidents happening in Karnataka here. Got it?"
I thought this blog was about women's right equality for all women. That what another commentator informed me on another discussion. So why not inform everyone that this is just anti-Sangh Parivar blog fighting as a proxy for political parties which are NOT right of the centre.
"TOI and HT have reported the same incident in their own ways. "
But you readily accepted what TOI said because it suited your idealogy.
"BJP's love for christian's is well known and came out from the series of attacks on churches."
Did you get these report from TOI?
Please read this what would have happened before this correction was offered in the news paper.
"Yaddyurappa should come forward and make course correction for the sake of Karnataka."
Thanks for the UNSOLICITED advise. But I think people are wise enough or should I say "backward tight and non-pub going enough" to decide.
"What you sow is what you reap!!"
Okay now politics time - What did Congress sow that it lost 7 assembly election after 2004 (Punjab, MP Guj, Kar, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Chattisgarh )

Did you not see this part of my comment Sudhir?
ReplyDeleteWhether it is hindu fundamentalists or christian fundamentalists, they are a threat to the very existence of our country. So both of them are ass holes. Got it? So any forms of crimes perpetrated by any fundamentalist outfits has to be opposed.(You have rightly given the news about chritian fundamentalism.) So some people choose to fight against all religious fundamentalists who spread hatred in the name of religion and God.
Some basic questions :
1. "Pubs". You might not have any problem with men going to pubs. Does hindu culture allow men to booze? If yes, where is it written(in hindu scriptures)? On the contrary, where in indian culture is written that women should not go to pubs.
2. You oppose women in jeans. Does indian culture allow men to wear jeans?
3. "Dress code". Does hindu dharmasastras have a dress code at all?
Please give proper references while answering.

ReplyDeleteThat christian priest does not know what hinduism is, hinduism does not advocate idol worship, incarnation etc. Such practices came at a latter phase, which has to be opposed.
ReplyDelete1. Sudhir, what is your opinion about idol worship? Do you believe in idol worship, incarnation?
This question is off-topic, but just to get to know of your opinion :)
What is Advaniji's opinion:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.indianexpress.com/news/pub-attack-girls-can-have-their-own-way-says-advani/429247/
Rupesh,
ReplyDeleteI did read your comment in totality. Here are my views about your blog.
You try to take a moral high ground and then immediately expose your ulterior motives.
"This blog is about the immoral attacks of sangh parivar on girls and minorities in Karnataka. So post incidents happening in Karnataka here. Got it?"
This is one of your comments. Muthalik is a goon and he deserves to be in only 1 place -Jail. As far as I remember RSS had said that they have no problem with the ban on Rama Sena. So when you drag RSS in this and selectively blame the BJP government of Karnataka it just smacks of political motives and you seem like a proxy for the political forces opposed to BJP. You quote Advani speech then blame BJP as if workers of BJP were involved. You contradict yourself.
I really commend your ability to stretch my arguments and infer what you want. The 3 basic questions you posed are irrelevant because I never said anything about dress code and pub going thing. But since you have asked my viewpoint heres what I think -
1) As far as freedom is concerned I think everyone should have full freedom to advance or ruin their life to the extent they desire. No one should bother others until and unless actions of the person effects the other person. I think we should have laws where even children can sue their parents who restrict their freedom like not allowing them to go to bar or pub. Why not make drugs legal - That way government can earn some tax revenues on drugs and cut the illegal trade.
2) Dress code -There are no dress code rules in any Hindu scriptures. (Sorry I cannot provide proof for something non-existant). I am actually sad that people in India do not wear dress as they do in US and Europe. I have to contend myself by watching photos over the internet or take a stroll on Brigade Road on weekends.
3) See point 3.
(I do not want to talk about this but since you have brought this up ....)
"That christian priest does not know what hinduism is, hinduism does not advocate idol worship, incarnation etc. Such practices came at a latter phase, which has to be opposed."
The christian priest may not know about Hinduism but he does know about what people think. There are lot of people who do believe in idol worship (that includes me). Thats why you see people flocking to Shiva temple on Shivaratri or celebrating Ganesha festival. So easiest way to convert is to ape the existing traditions and once people have converted they start abusing Hinduism.
They call bible as SatyaVeda. Does that mean Vedas are false?
And my view on Idol worship? I worship idols. May be I am not following true hinduism but I do like doing it. If that bothers you then its your problem dude. I DON'T CARE.
Now tell me this what makes the Rama Sena incident holier than other incidents (like Sister Abhaya case in Kerala, Taslima Nasreen in Kolkata and Hyderabad, recently a book by a Nun in Kerala about the atrocities of the clergy-The book is called Amen ) that only this merits your precious time. Even if it is for political reasons, its fine you have all the reasons to be politically motivated.
Rupesh ,
ReplyDeleteYou mention about Kandhamal and blame BJP. Can you please enlighten me about what started the whole series of events? (I hope you do not have a spontaneous combustion theory for the death of Swami Lakshmananand and his 5 disciples including a lady) Also what was the role of the Radhakant Nayak (Rajya Sabha MP from congress) in the murder??

ReplyDelete"Mangalore: Right wing group Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik, whose outfit evoked national outrage by attacking girls and boys at a pub here, was on Monday banned from entering Mangalore district for one year.
The ban, ordered by district administrator and deputy commissioner V Ponnuraj, followed Muthalik owning up responsibility for the attack in January this year, official sources said. "
To put into perspective Raj Thackray created such a ruckus in Mumbai brought Mumbai to its knees for couple of days and his goondas were openly targetting the UP and Bihar people. But he is still happily enjoying his life in Mumbai. And look at the comedy, the government of Maharashtra is NOT BJP. Any thoughts Rupesh....
@Sudhir,
ReplyDeleteplease dont waste your energy explaining yourself. none of these guys here, would understand what it is all about. some are fed on archer, others on marx. calls themselves left liberals (loose)
@Rupesh:
Hinduism teaches you to worship divinity.
As a true hindu, i can pray to god in which ever form i see his presence in.
My mother, father, teacher, or powers of this universe.
I can pray in a church, mosque or jain temple, because i am a hindu.
This basic principle or understanding of god is what makes Hinduism tolerant and had let many such religions co exist in India .
and hope this would explain "idol" worship.
Since you are so wary of Idol worship, kindly enlighten us on your religion.
I believe in god,and i do believe religions are guidelines to live your life. I respect other religions, and i do expect others to respect mine.
If you dont..you dont deserve to be an indian.

Violating vedas:
----------------
I don't have any problems. But see it means that you are violating Vedas. Isn't it? Violating vedas means you are violating God Himself. Because Vedas are eternal, vedas were there since time immemorial and is believed to be God made. So violating Vedas is equivalent to violating God.
So it is allowed for you to violate the supreme text of Hinduism. At the same time you are terribly upset by the violation of certain unwritten rules, promoted by certain vested interests (acting as the saviors of hinduism) as Indian culture!
Sari/Jeans:
-----------
In my opinion wearing sari or jeans does not matter, but what matters is the way it is worn. Sari can be worn in a decent way or in a provocative way. Same is the case with jeans. If someone has a problem they can inform the police, who is the law enforcing agency.
Organised religions:
--------------------
All organized religions are prostituting Gods and are exploiting people. A classic example is conversion. Christian priests convert oppressed dalits and created another caste "dalit christians". So it made sure that dalits stay as dalits. And majority of conversions uses coercive methods like foreign money. So all such bullshits are to be opposed and defeated.
Puri Jaganath Temple:
---------------------
On the other hand upper caste hindus will not allow a dalit to enter in Puri Jagannath Temple. Bapre baap it will desecrate temple. So will the God ever stay in that temple? God might have ran away to save Himself from this bunch of insane people. So that is why it is always better to follow Vedas than some practices which came in a later period.
Hymn(from Yajurveda):
---------------------
"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakriti - the material cause of the world - in place of the All-pervading God, but those who worship visible things born of the prakriti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time."
Why harsh at Sangh Parivar:
---------------------------
I believe Hindus should oppose the wrong doings in Hinduism, and those who misuse hindu religion for personal obnoxious gains.
Likewise the progressive minded people in all the religions should oppose the wrong doings of the apostles of their religion. Only by doing so, we can reform the religion and thus the society. Muslims should come forward to oppose the wrong interpretation of Quran, which certain uneducated mullahs and maulavis are propagating. For example purdah system is not there in Quran, Quran does not ask women to cover their face. There is no telephonic triple thalak or instant triple thalak in shariat(all these are misinterpretation). Christians should come against the money thirsty priests who sell teacher posts for lakhs (not even for the poor christian but for anyone with a heavy pocket).
Being a hindu I will try to take the stick from the eye of my religion than going to remove the dust from the eye of islam or christianity. So my criticism might look harsh towards Sangh Parivar that towards other fundamentalists. My choice comes out from the experiences I had. You might have a different set of experiences and thus a different choice. Adios dear friend.

ReplyDelete@Born Hindu
ReplyDeleteVedic hinduism opposes idol worship, and incarnation of God.
Hinduism has two streams, advaita and dvaita. Advaitists does not believe in incarnation of God(they don't accept that God will take human form) and they don't believe in idol worship, temples etc. Advaita philosophy is based purely on Vedas and upanishads.
Lord Rama, Krishna,..and new age incarnations like Sai baba, Amruthanandamayi are not accepted by advaitists. Arya samaj, Sree Narayana Guru mutt follows advaita form of hinduism.
At a later phase, dvaitists came up with incarnation of Gods, temple worship etc. This is the time when epics, smritis, dharmasastras came into picture.
Rupesh ,
ReplyDeleteViolating Vedas - As far as I know no body has said that Vedas are the words of god or anything like that. They were written by humans which evolved over a period of time. Vedas are not inviolable. Vedas talks about the nature for most part. You will be surprised to know that vedas say that the ultimate aim of Vedas is to make vedas obsolete. (The purpose of vedas is to teach an individual to swim in the ocean of knowledge. Once equipped with this knowledge even Vedas can be thrown out of the window.) Its the enlightenment of the intellect that matters all else is secondary including the vedas. You can find lot of commentaries on Vedas where people have contradictory views about vedas themselves.I am a novice in this so I still have to take the support of idol worship. But no way idol worship is banned. It says "Ekam sat viprah Bahudha Vadanti" (There is only one truth people speak about it in different ways)
You can see the Jain Digambaras even sacrificing clothes. Because clothes they feel are an obstacle to their ultimate aim of enlightenment.
I am upset with people who use an incident enacted by a goon , a cheap roadside trouble monger like Muthalik to defame my religion and my state (Hindu Taliban, Talibanisation of Mangalore etc..) It upsets me when media includes Mangalore in the league of Swat and NWFP (which it is not) and people actively support it.
Oh Hang on buddy- What gives you the right to decide the way sari or Jeans worn is provocating. Police have no right to even entertain the complaints of people about the attire of others. Freedom means freedom in totality not with fine print and conditions attached.
I never said hinduism is a perfect religion. Some practices have creeped into this religion en-route its evolution. Some good some bad.( I do not see how this is even relevant in the discussion.) People have been fighting against the mal-practices.People have done that in past but without demeaning hinduism and people are doing it even now. No hindu blames Raja Ram Mohan Roy or Arya Samaj for fighting against Sati and advocating widow re-marriage.
Yajurveda - I would look at the sanskrit sloka in original rather than the traslations.
As far as Sangha Parivar is concerned - So easy to brand Sangha Parivar as extremists and fundamenatals. Anywhere anything happens first blame Sangha Parivar. But do you really know what Sangha Parivar does.
Sangh Parivar played a crucial role during the 1947 battle for Kashmir against the marauding armies of Pakistan. They provided logistical support to the army moving arms and amunitions to places. Cursory search on Google will give you links to this. They have played a crucial role in collecting funds and making them reach the PM fund whenever there has been a war.
Ekal Vidyalayas in far flung tribal areas Sangh activists work without expecting anything in return for the educational, health based schemes of tribals and downtrodden. Have you ever heard of Tribal olympics.
Coming to bangalore, Sangh activists have started classes for the beggars and rag-pickers who cannot go to school on weekdays.(These are people working in software companies, MNCs and well to do - You may call them communal for they are members of Sangh. But they do not give a damn)
Bihar floods, Tsunami, Gujarat earthquake Sangh activists were there to provide help.
So its easy to believe what the MSM shoves down your throats by their repeated utterances but its hard to comprehend the enormity of the task that they are doing.
@Rupesh
ReplyDeletePlease read again what i had written about "idol" worship.its not about dvaita or advaita.
"I worship my mother because i see the presence of god in her"
Hope the above sentence explains.
And one more piece of information that may surprise you. Ram Sena is a political outfit just like the BJP congress Commies etc. They fought in 83 constituencies in recently held elections in Karnataka and against BJP.
ReplyDeleteSo if tomorrow if congress guys involve in rampage you do not blame the BJP, same way Rama Sena is a political party which fought against BJP.
@Sudhir
ReplyDeleteVedas are considered to be eternal, belief is that no body invented it, present as cosmic vibrations, rishis of the past discovered it. That is one of the main difference cited when comparing other religions with hinduism. Other religions have a middleman in between, that is a prophet, who is a man. In Hinduism Vedas are considered to be written by God.
While Smritis(dharmashastras), Epics(puranas) are considered as man made(written by man). It is said that if any content in either smrutis or epics violates as said in Vedas, follow what vedas have said. Vedas are the supreme for hindus. (But the sad part is that how many hindus have gone through or tried to go through Vedas.)
Just browse through Swami Vivekananda's complete works, Vol 3, any chapter on Vedantism (available in Landmark, Forum). I will post the exact quote also if needed.
@Sudhir
ReplyDeleteWhat is MSM?
Rupesh,
ReplyDeleteAll such Mythological stories are fine. But at the end of the day you will be doing injustice to veda if you do not accept the truth.
MSM - main stream media
ReplyDeleteYajurveda quote is translated by Swami Dayanand Saraswati, "Satyarth Prakash" (Arya Samaj). There are actually much more. If you get a chance please go through it. It will give an altogether different perspective on Hinduism, which in my opinion is very much needed.
ReplyDeleteRupesh,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book reference. But whats your point.
You started your sequence of comments by pontificating about the government of Karnataka on agriculture and criminals.
->When I show you that other states are worse off, you just shirk and say that this is not the right forum. Fine.
Then you start blaming Sangh Parivar and bring about Kandhamal and set up your five point agenda and pose the "3 basic questions"
-> I have tried to show you that there lies lot more things outside the purview you have set for yourself. When I talk of freedom, you talk of freedom with fine print etc.
Again when I discuss the about the politics involved you jump to Vedas, basics of hinduism etc. (you even go to impose what are the do's and donts haves and have nots in hinduism and even give mythologically justifications). You conveniently ignore some of the comments or evade them under the burden of irrelevant digressions.
Can you tell me what is the central theme of all your comments? I just don't see logical coherency in your arguments. It will be of great help if you simply state what is your case instead of bringing Yajurveda or any vedas.
I don't even assume in my wildest of dreams any of the members of this group even intended a debate on the basis of the vedas. I think this is more of a publicity stunt which has outlived it shelf life.
@Rupesh,
ReplyDeleteThis is not the right place to discuss
"Sahitya sarvaswam".
and you forgot the hierarchy of Haindava bibliography . When you mention smritis, upanishads, puranas to wannabe yankees who try to reason booze dope and nudity with references from religion , You are adding on to the ranks of those who say " Hinduism is so confusing, there are 330 million gods"
Rupesh:
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned:
>>“Being a hindu I will try to take the stick from the eye of my religion than going to remove the dust from the eye of islam or christianity.
>>So my criticism might look harsh towards Sangh Parivar that towards other fundamentalists.
>>My choice comes out from the experiences I had.
>>You might have a different set of experiences and thus a different choice.
>>Adios dear friend.”
This shows you don’t judge impartially and your standards aren’t consistent.
You judge different faiths with different yardsticks.
Do you have it in you to judge the facts impartially and reach a conclusion?
Do you have it in you to swallow your ego and change your opinion in the face of evidences contrary to your belief?
Most of one’s choices aren’t made out of experiences; they made mainly from the facts available.
And Sudhir has pointed a lot of facts in his posts.
You have shown a propensity to pick only the faults you perceive in Sanaatana Dharma rather than the glaring ones you ignore in islam or christianity.
Even your usage of terms has shown that the stick is really in your eyes and mind.
When Sudhir kept bombarding you with information contrary to your point of view, instead of rebutting with evidences or changing your opinion, you side-tracked the whole issue by starting another game of the following questions:
4. Sudhir, what is your opinion about idol worship? Do you believe in idol worship, incarnation?
This question is off-topic, but just to get to know of your opinion :)
All these questions you raised while Sudhir had in none of his earlier posts broached these topics.
Just by this side-tracking of yours you’ve admitted your ineptness to counter data backed points that Sudhir has raised.
You raised all these questions to just bait Sudhir before you could launch your sessions of selective quotations of Swami Dayananda Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda.
Sanatana Dharma is open hearted unlike other religions.
We don’t teach Vedas to our children.
We teach Ramayana and Mahabharata because they personify the values in the Vedas.
Our children are brought up on the stories and images of heroes who uplift Dharma and destroy adharma.
Krishna is the greatest example.
And Krishna guiding Arjuna in the war for Dharma is the greatest image we have at our homes.
Is worshipping the image of this Krishna you denounce?
If you take this angst against idol-worship far, you must realize that even a ‘thought’ is an ‘image’.
Would you kill the ‘thought’ too?
And what is wrong with images?
One must understand that the real meaning of ‘formless’ is ‘all-forms’.
It is ‘Aatmoupamya’ or treating all things living or not akin to oneself which makes one love trees, stones, birds, animals, rivers, mountains and images.
Ours is a culture where we treat a river as mother Ganga.
We treat Himalayan Range as the Father of Parvati and the abode of Shiva.
We worship a cow as Kamadhenu.
Ours is a culture where we worship all elements of nature as divine.
If your framework cannot accommodate these beautiful concepts which make Sanatana Dharma unique and rich, of what use is that framework?
Without understanding these if you denounce idol worship as non-Hindu, I must say you are a non-Hindu.
Sanatana Dharma offers a framework which accommodates the entire gamut of thoughts from idol-worship to Shankaraadvaita.
It’s not patented or copyrighted by any swami.
People like you who get caught with the outward meanings end up pontificating the literal meaning of scriptures.
Thinking of worshipping a formless God as the only true Hinduism is ignorance and arrogance.
And is no different from the exclusive claims of the predatory religions.
One must remember that it was these idol-worshipping masses who served as the foot soldiers of Sanatana Dharma fighting against eight hundred years of Islamic and two hundred years of Christian Imperialism.
But for these idol-worshippers you wouldn’t have had the freedom today which you use sadly to denounce them.
Belittling idol-worship is like cutting the branch of the tree on which you’re sitting.
To know the dangers threatening Sanatana Dharma today please read “Conversion: An assault on truth” a compilation of articles by several eminent thinkers including Dr SL Bhyrappa, Dr Chidaananda Murty and Shataavadhaani Dr R Ganesh.
May be the facts therein might make you see that the stick in your eyes isn’t letting you see the real truth.
To know the views of Swami Vivekananda, please read all the volumes, and not only the volume 3 available in Landmark, Forum.
Selective quotation can be made to advance one’s point of view.
What one needs is the holistic picture which these eminent men present, which you don’t seem to see.
Agreed their thoughts guide us to put our house in order by eradicating evil practices like untouchability.
But why do you not see the views of these eminent men on “Sanatana Dharma in all its myriad forms” vis-Ã -vis “Islam and Christianity”?
Read these articles to know what Swami Vivekananda really thought about them vis-Ã -vis Sanaatana Dharma:
http://arunshourie.voiceofdharma.com/articles/19930131.htm
http://arunshourie.voiceofdharma.com/articles/19930213.htm
Read also this book by Shri Ram Swarup “Understanding Islam through Hadis”:
http://voiceofdharma.org/books/uith/
Sanaatana Dharma has a long history.
There have been many thinkers and many schools of thoughts.
For a culture so rich with many thinkers it’s always possible to show differences of opinion.
Accommodating them all is the greatness of Sanatana Dharma.
And in spite of these differences Sanatana Dharma was never predatory like Islam and Christianity.
For every point in every post of yours to which I wanted to rebut, I saw Sudhir had already covered right below in his posts.
His answers have been exhaustive while your points run from pillar to post from the hiding they’ve been given.
Points of Sudheer you haven’t answered at all or have answered evasively are below.
Unless you clarify them the stick in your eyes will remain:
1. Your choice to quote selectively:
You subscribed only to the TOI point of view and not the HT view.
When Sudhir pointed this out, your response was:
>>TOI and HT have reported the same incident in their own ways.
>>BJP's love for christian's is well known and came out from the series of attacks on churches.
>>Some one with common sense can understand BJP's intentions.”
Your outright rejection of the HT version shows you’ve made up your mind and won’t alter your position even in the presence of evidence contrary to your view.
2. Your response when Sudhir pointed that farmer issues in Maharashtra and Andhra and human rights issues in UP and Delhi which are non-BJP ruled outnumber those in Karnataka was:
>>This blog is about the immoral attacks of sangh parivar on girls and minorities in Karnataka.
>>So post incidents happening in Karnataka here. Got it?
>>Post incidents happening in TamilNadu, UP, Bihar in some other relevant forum.
This shows that you don’t want the whole truth.
3. In your post “Learn from Orissa”, you mentioned only one side of the story.
Sudhir pointed you two links at expressbuzz.com which showed the other side of the story.
Your response was that you opposed all fundamentalists.
But then why do you keep quoting only a certain type of “links”?
But then your 'stick and dust' comment shows that you aren't really opposed to all fundamentalists.
4. In response to your statement: “That christian priest does not know what hinduism is …”
Sudhir mentioned about their calling Bible as “Satya Veda” which is a not so subtle way of calling the Rig Yajur Saama and Atharva Vedas as “Asatya Vedas”.
Again there was no response from you on this.
'Stick and Dust' again?
5. Sudhir mentioned how the Rama Sene incident is no worse than other incidents like the Sister Abhaya case in Kerala, Taslima Nasreen in Kolkata and Hyderabad.
He also mentioned a recent book by a Nun in Kerala about the atrocities of the clergy-The book is called Amen.
But I forget you had already mentioned that only ‘certain’ types of posts are welcomed here.
6. On the Kandhamal violence, you didn’t answer if you believe Swami Lakshmananand and his 5 disciples spontaneously ignited.
Neither did you comment on the alleged role of Radhakant Nayak the Congress MP.
One of the five killed was a woman.
Oh I see you won’t comment because it wasn’t in Karnataka and she wasn’t “minorities”, nor was she pub-going.
Won’t fit your broad secular criteria is it?
7. Sudhir provided information on sify.com which shows that Muthalik has been banned from entering Mangalore district.
He also gave comparison of how Raj Thackeray roams freely in Mumbai not ruled by the BJP.
Again no response from you on this.
8. Again no answers of yours to the facts that Sangh Parivar contributed actively during the ’47 battle, floods, tsunami and earthquakes.
9. No answer of yours to the fact that Ram Sena is a political outfit which competed with BJP in 83 constituencies in the state.
The Pope says no to Condoms
ReplyDelete"81-year-old Pope Benedict told mediapersons en route to Cameroon that AIDS ‘is a tragedy that cannot be overcome by money alone, and that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problems’, ‘The Times’ newspaper reported on Tuesday.
He has earlier said the ‘traditional teaching of the Church’ on chastity outside marriage and fidelity within it had proved to be ‘the only sure way of preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS’. "

Nishs Susan & other chaddi removing friends , pope here ordering women how they should behave within & outside marriage ! A clear case of moral policing by the church !! Why should pope bother how many sex partners Nisha susan or her other chaddi friends want to have ?
Nisha susan & the chaddi brigade, start sending pink chaddis to the pope, today.
Otherwise , you will be exposed once again for what you are, an anti hindu , anti BJP group , supported by dubious media like Tehelka , but pretending to be a liberal group claimin to work for equality of women. Shame on you, Nisha.
(Silence of posters like bugsy now, who were very active & vocal , when ridiculing hindus is a testmony to the dubious double standards of the chaddi brigade )
why you ppl discussing on religion here:-)?
ReplyDeletefunny. some ppl fight over religion. some on culture. god dam.
praying that india doesn't end up like saudi arabia:-) would it?
illusionist,
ReplyDeleteHow very convenient rhetoric? People have pointed out instances which will make our country more Saudi Arabia like.... But Pink Chaddis have turned blind eye towards all these and seem be carrying forward a directed campaign against some. You protest against Muthalik great. Kudos to you. But why not the same standard against MIM in hyderabad or against the some in the clergy in Kerala who treat innocent nuns as slaves. (timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Nuns-treated-like-servants-by-priests-Cardinal/articleshow/4272890.cms)
This blog itself was talking about culture to create some videos about culture couple of days back. How come now it becomes a "god dam(n)" thing.
A Probable Panty Campaigner dies!
ReplyDeleteRead in the news today a lady 21 yr old, air hostess by profession committed sucide after a bout with hard drinks folllowed by a subsequent quarrel with her boyfriend as he was not letting her smoke.
http://www.mid-day.com/news/2009/mar/180309-News-Mumbai-suicide-Jet-Air-Hostess.htm
Well interesting news for these panty campaigners. These are the people who wish to make a life out of drugs, alcohol and loose sex!
Meera Bharat Mahan...Jai Ho!
@Ravi
ReplyDeleteBoss, U have a point...dare these panty campaigners send the pope a set of undergarments...Afterall he has raked up something very delicate and personal to these panty removers.
He he he ..nice idea by the way, a parcel of panties sent to pope and signed by Sonia Gandhi!
at all Hindu and Indian supporters, Dont waste your time commenting here, please go to http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=49641698651 and make our genuine Hindu opinions counted, you are all making great comments but not many are able to view especially pseudos. Pls follow my suggestion.

ReplyDelete"NOIDA: A 46-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped in a moving car on Wednesday night. The woman was badly thrashed by a group of five men
before being finally dumped at a secluded place in Sector-31, police said.
The woman was picked by the assailants and pushed into a white Qualis near her house at Pandav Nagar in east Delhi. She was forcibly taken in to the car and was driven to Noida. The woman alleged that the assailants first assaulted her and then dumped her near Nithari after committing gang rape."
I was wondering what would have been the reaction of Pink Chaddis if this had happened in Bangalore?
Seems like crime has different scale depending on the place of occurance or should it be party which is ruling.
Well I think those pink chaddi groups are bunch of neo-hippis ...nothing more....
ReplyDeletethey are a dead-weight on the nation.
Paris suffered a humiliating defeat @ hands of germanz because of fools like pink chaddi groups.
They took only 1/2 day to conquer. [:D]
WAKE UP!
There are better things to do then send pink chaddi....
Pink chaddi campaigners do not sleep over these following genuine issue. I hope you will not keep quiet unless you are jihaid and missionary boot lickers.
ReplyDeleteKerala ally says no to rights for women
22/03/2009 10:09:23 By Ananthakrishnan G @ Times Of India
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/msid-4295114,prtpage-1.cms
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM’s proclamations of ushering in equal rights for women doesn’t seem to have cut ice with its southern ally, Kanthapuram Aboobaker Musaliar, who heads the all-powerful Sunni sect in Kerala.
Musaliar, popularly known as ‘‘Arival Sunni’’ (Sickle Sunni) for his Left slant, has said a strict no to a clause in the party’s manifesto which says that efforts would be made to ‘‘ensure equal rights to women of all communities’’.
‘‘This is against the Koran and we will oppose it,’’ Kanthapuram said. His office spokesperson Hussain Sakafi Chullikode reaffirmed this. ‘‘Islam is very close to nature which has created men and women as biologically different creatures. Even the size of their brains differs and so does their kidneys. We belive that nature has women physically weak and therefore the onus is on the man to behave decently with her and to protect her.
‘‘It’s against the rules of nature to argue that women and men are the same or that they are like two wheels of a vehicle and are entitled to equal rights. No civilised society can accept this and from an Islamic viewpoint, we will oppose this,’’ he told TOI.
The CPM’s relations with Kanthapuram run deep. The party’s nominee for Ponnani in Malappuram, Hussain Randathani, is considered close to the cleric. BJP’s candidate from Kozhikode, where Kanthapuram is based, expressed his disgust at the comments and said it exposed CPM double standards. ‘‘On the one hand they say they are for empowering women, and on the other they have elements like Kanthapuram who are rabidly anti-women. This amounts to Talibanisation,’’ he said.
Well actually theres no need to bother ...this cabal is even more stupid than monkeys....
ReplyDeletemonkey see monkey do...
monkey do the west...they lika to do-it ,do-it, they like to... DO-it
I'm with you all. When the worse moral degradement can hapen inside the confines of a home, attacking youngsters who are having fun in the open is foolish!!!
ReplyDeleteChaddi Wearers, your double standards stink like your chaddis!!! What are you doing about this
