It was was beautiful with out doubt, until one day when I went to my washing machine to pick up my white hanes clean washed pubic free after a good surf wash chaddi. It had turned pick. How? Further investigation revealed; I had put my white hanes chaddi's along with off the HK street pick up fake DISEL RED T.shirt. The RED bled into my white hanes and turned pink. AHHHHHHHH...
You would be happy to note that I still have them neatly Ironed and kept in a safe. 10 pink chaddi's from my side is a well done deal.

This article should be read by anyone claiming to be Hindu, since it explodes all myths about the stand of social leaders of ancient India on the status and freedom of women. it also quotes from Manusmriti, Kamasutra and Upanishad.
The other ideas that the people who want to celebrate can do is this:
1. Have some married couples go along. these couples should be allowed to go in the bar and drink. Will they be required to show marriage certificate? or NOT holding hands will be proof enough of their marriage :))
2. Do all 'love day' purchasing 4 weeks before the love-day.
3. Celebrate love-day on 21st of every month! or pick second Friday of every month! Who said you have to stick to Feb 14 only! Will they still have problems?
Also, a suggestion: People should stop using the name of these elements and their parties (you know who), since this gives them more publicity. And it maligns the good name of Shree Ram for no fault of his. Instead just use "male Chauvanistic Hateful Order of Dummies” or mCHODs for short. :)

i can understand the hatered against the sena.. sene.. raj.. different names.. same idea.. get the attention.. divide n rule.
but i just feel that all the hatered against hinduism is unwarranted for..
just coz a handful of these break stuff in the name of hinduism, islam, shivaji, language, culture, etc., doesnt make them the custodians of my religion, my language, my culture, my history... they are just making it extremely uncool for people to be proud about all of the above. whereas yes.. i am proud of my history, of my culture, my language(s), of my faith.. (no.. hinduism is not mentioned in any of the religious texts... it was coined by the goras who couldnt digest the fact that people in India dont fit into any of the religious 'isms' and BTW, the word dharma means righteousness..
anyways.. the sene is 'protcting' our culture.. but this culture is of the people and hence has to evolve when the people evolve..

I am disappointed there is no chaddi pick up point in Gurgaon. Since many of us were not aware of this drive we may not be able to contribute towards this noble cause. Kindly extend the drive till the b'day of Maulik.

ReplyDeleteYour enthu and all tat apart, here is some stuff that you need to remember. We know you are litigators and cool about courts and all that jazz, but a few pointers to start with:
1. There are RSS pictures on your blog, they are not going to be happy. Revealing your names adresses is exposing you to danger from the SRS, RSS , DOGS etc. try being discreet.
2. The Chaddi logo has Bhrahmakumaris logo in the back ground, check if you avoid it.
3. There is a possibility of defamation / slander / nuisance / public safety and a plethora of litigations comming your way. Imagine your kid brother or your mom getting hundreds of condoms from people or toilet paper in their mail box. Given the guilt of SRS, I suggest that you cross check your options. (If you though this was Gandhian-Hell NO)
4. These guys are out there to F**k peoples happiness, be prepared, dont come crying.
5. Garner political support and move ahead.

ReplyDeleteThe campaign started with a small group of people who then went ahead and invited people who they thought would support the cause. Its now achieved a whole lot of momentum because as we now know lots of people support this issue. If you did not notice, these guys did not have a press conference when they started this campaign. The mainstream media is just doing its job. And its mainly people who support this campaign who have gone ahead and encouraged the media to cover it which is so not a bad thing.
About people shouting Hindu Taliban.. let me clarify I haven't done so. Its not very surprising that some people have done so and the reason why I feel their doing this is because perpetrators of this crime proudly proclaim that they doing these deeds because it against Hindu religion.
About yelling and bleating about the SRS well this is exactly what this community is doing. No ones talking bad about Hinduism. We are against people who use religion as a means to commit crimes.
What makes you think I and a whole lot of other people don't scream about atrocities being committed against women all over India. And why is it a crime to scream about this incident. A crime was committed.... how does it really matter if the person was elite or poor, a Hindu, Muslim or a Christian?
