  1. A Request

Your poster has only a male in it. I assume even women turn blind to issues such as these, so care to broaden this poster and have other elements of our society.

  2. Great poster! Hope the series spreads far and wide, and actually has some positive effect...

  3. Yes! this is what is needed. Next time a group of goons attack an innocent instead of watching and getting it on camera, people should beat the c**p out of those fanatic idiots.

  4. These are not women, but beasts! The ideal of womanhood in India is Sita. Shame on them on calling themselves children of Bharata Mata.

It is so unfortunate that these women find pleasure in dumb and illogical imitation of the westerners. Depressing.

  5. susan for you only christians are humans and only karnataka females are females and all other state females are nothing? why? are you not getting money from church and congress for other states? 10. The last poster which looks like a Ravi Varma painting transformed into the various types of Indian women, is awesome. I am going to add it to my Facebook profile.

  11. @balajirao

The panty campaigners belong to i-pill /pill-72 generation. They say they are fighting against athrocities against women and paste posters that speak volumes about what they are actually craving for -

These are the kamasutra women post independence. The glorified "viigins" of Khajuraho .....

  13. Whatever is happening is really sad. These people do not represent the Indian Ethos. Women in this country have the same rights as anyone else. But what is really unfortunate is that the Urban young have woken up now spearheading this campaign. Guess not many and i stress upon not many stopped to do anything while equally pressing issues were unfolding. What have most of you done for the oppressed and wronged individuals in India? This is a very crucial issue, no denying that. But why is this anymore pressing than the countless other tragedies unfolding in this country or any other? Please use that as short eats next time your downing a drink.

  16. Wonderful! All this campaign and awakening happened only when the so called Modern Woman of India was stopped from going to Pub!

Sans some small NGOs attempts, I never heard such a loud cry to help the Women in India who have been getting abused for ages. Even the modern woman never bothered about it, until it happened to them.

So, we don’t care until unless it happens to us! The poster six shows the attitude that we now have about ourselves. Just fanatically following something on the name of fashion and so called “Modern” “Advanced and “Freedom”. We need to care about ourselves and other around. We also need to understand what we need and what we have. We also need to take care and respect what we have, in this great country and our culture!

I am not a supporter of the Attach! Nor am I a person can be happy that my Wife/Sister/Mother go to pub to Enjoy!

I think we need to know what should be given importance and what is important for us. We need to look into ourselves!

  19. As long as the very basic nagging nature of the women exists, she will cry foul even for having monthly cycles.
Women hen-pecks every time and everywhere all over the globe, despite the fact that the crime aginst men is thrice as against women and substantially brutal.

  20. Good work folks...I hope that the issue will not just end in Bangalore alone. There is a definite need to spread awareness in all over India.

Comming from North East India, one thing that i'd like o add here is about sexual violence against the North east women in many states. For instance, recent media reports show that sexual harassment, stereotypes and so-called “eve-teasing” on North East women are common in Delhi.

Many North East women suffer sexual abuse at the hands of mainstream men folk which is very common in public places. Such discrimination is mainly based on racial and cultural differences. Mainstream patriarchal stereotype is oppressive because it tells North East women how to behave or how to dress according mainstream patriarchal norms. The stereotype is dangerous because it is used against other minority groups to silence claims of inequality. And finally, the stereotype is dangerous because some North East women may use the stereotype to judge their self-worth.

  22. It is very unfortunate to all that has happnned .Now this is so much being talked about as this is in media but in villages where there is no law it is much worse .The lack of political will and illiterate voters (majority of which do not even pay taxes )is the root cause of all these evils. Recent example of legalising gay relationship .There is nothing wrong in it , they have their freedom why should we be bothered about what they do !
Hope India and Indian improve .

My Name is Ciby Baby Punnamparambil.I am proposing a model for the
following topic "A revenue sharing user contributed content website" and the website will be

run buy the community how contributes to it in a democratic way.
A trustee can be formed and the website ownership will be of the trustee, and no body owns

the website. And the revenue will be shared based with the "Google API"
Facility given by google. The revenue transaction will happen between google (adbrite-yahoo)

    and the contributor.
I have give a detailed description of these in my blog.
    http://allaboutindiars.blogspot.com/

The Niche topic will be on INDIA.
