Hi...You stopped by my blog so I came over to see you! Just read about Pink Chaddi Glad to see there is a consortium of pubgoing loose and forward women... World needs us!
What next? What next? I heard Muthalik and friends are burning all the chaddis... What a waste! For all the talk about helpin the homeless, they could have at least distributed them. Sigh.
And the is the news for all pink chaddiwals: Case against Renuka admitted in M'lore court The first additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court here on Monday admitted a criminal case against Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare Renuka Chowdhry. The case has been filed by Ganesh Hosabettu, Mayor of Mangalore, and fifteen other individuals and organisations alleging that Renuka insulted Mangalore by saying in the wake of the Jan 24 pub attack that Mangalore and Dakshina Kannada were being 'Talibanised'. Court proceedings held that a "private criminal case" against Chowdhry was in order under different sections of the Indian Penal Code. The three sections of IPC invoked are 153 (a) (statements inciting enmity between groups); 153 (b), (assertions prejudicial to national integration) and 505 (statements "conducive to public mischief"). The Mangalore mayor said Chowdhry had accused all Mangaloreans of being violent and had compared them with the Taliban. http://epaper.dnaindia.com/dnabangalore/newsview.aspx?eddate=2/17/2009&pageno=1&edition=9&prntid=2203&bxid=27950104&pgno=1
"Right to drink is not a fundamental right under Constitution of India or for that matter under any international charter of rights. On the other hand, Article 47 of the Constitution of India says, "The State shall endeavour to bring about prohibition of the consumption except for medicinal purposes of intoxicating drinks" ANIL CHAWLA is an engineer (and now a lawyer too) by qualification but a philosopher by vocation and a management consultant by profession. More at : Maidservants working in our locality live in a slum called S. Farm. The slum had a country liquor shop. As is usual in many such shops, the shop also had an 'ahaataa' (courtyard). The ahaataa is an open area with bare minimum crude furniture. Customers who buy a bottle from the liquor shop can sit in the ahaataa and consume it there. A large number of the men in S. Farm used to visit the ahaataa and blow up their earnings there. This used to cause hardships to their families. A few months ago under the leadership of a social worker (a woman I do not know) all the women of the slum decided to do something about the menace. One fine evening all the women surrounded the country liquor shop and the ahaataa. They were holding placards in their hands demanding closure of the establishment. All the men who were inside the ahaataa were beaten with footwear. In many cases wife / sister of the man being beaten was cheering the crowd to do a more thorough job. Police watched as spectator only ensuring that the beating did not cross limits. The next day, authorities decided to shift the liquor shop away from the area. The women were jubilant. They had emerged victorious and felt empowered.
The above incident was not reported in any newspaper or electronic media. Such incidents have taken place in hundreds of places across the country. In most states of the country, there are rules in place that if women of the area protest against any liquor shop, the shop is shifted immediately. Getting these rules made has been a major achievement for women activists who want to ensure that men take care of their families and not squander away their earnings on alcohol.
Contrast the incident of S. Farm with the protest against pubs in Mangalore. The tables have surely turned. Instead of women protesting against men drinking, it is the men who are protesting against women drinking. When women protest against men drinking, there are no issues of individual freedom or human rights or "who gave you the right to do this". I am not in favour of beating up any one – whether men or women. But surely, for all those who believe in equality of women, beating up of women drinkers is in no way worse or more condemnable than bashing up of alcoholic men. So, one fails to understand the hell that has broken loose after the protest against women-in-pubs by Shriram Sene in Mangalore. Pramod Muthalik, leader of Shriram Sene, has gone on record apologizing for the rough handling of women and has said that they never intended to beat any woman. Pramod has apologized, while there is pride in the heart of women who beat up men at S. Farm. Yet, strangely the media and official establishment seem hell bent to prove that Pramod Muthalik is a criminal worse than any terrorist, while remaining silent about all women who have gone violent across liquor shops all over the country.
Women empowerment, in India, has always meant the right of women to demand a say in key decisions related to family, society and country. Women, who bashed up their alcoholic husbands / brothers, felt that a man had no right to spend all that he earned. A man owed it to his family to bring his earnings home and if he did not do so, women believe (and almost everyone agrees) that they have a right to force him. The role of women as caretakers of family has been central to women empowerment in India. Even the demand for reservation for women in legislatures and Parliament is based on this understanding of women empowerment. Votaries of women reservation bill have often argued that women are more responsible than men and that they will prove to be better rulers of the country, just as they take better care of the family.
Women activists in India have never wanted to equal men at all the wrongs that men are accustomed to do. It would have been preposterous for any of the men at S. Farm to offer a drink each to the agitating women. None of the women activists agitating against liquor shops across the country has ever asked for a right of women to have a drink at the shops.
Right to drink is not a fundamental right under Constitution of India or for that matter under any international charter of rights. On the other hand, Article 47 of the Constitution of India says, "The State shall endeavour to bring about prohibition of the consumption except for medicinal purposes of intoxicating drinks". It is clear that protesters at Mangalore (and also the women at S. Farm) were only acting to raise awareness and force the state to fulfill its duty as prescribed under the Constitution. Nothing can be more legitimate political activity than that.
It will not be incorrect to say that the movement of women empowerment in India suffered a serious setback when there were protests against the Mangalore incident. To make matters worse, some women have come together under the banner of "Consortium of Pub-going, Loose and Forward Women" (CPLFW). No one knows what is meant by the word "forward", but a loose woman is defined by dictionary as "a woman adulterer". Should we take it that these women claim to believe in going to pubs and having sex outside marriage as a matter of right? For these women, love is something that happens in and around panties. As an expression of their idea of love, they decided to send pink chaddis (panties) to Pramod Muthalik on Valentine day. One must condemn all the hooliganism that Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena (even Shriram Sene) have been doing on Valentine Day, which in my opinion is a Hindu festival (Please visit http://www.samarthbharat.com/valentine.htm). Hinduism gives a very high place to love, but the love in Hinduism (or Christianity) is not something that happens in and around panties. All right-thinking persons must join up against the mindless and heartless perversion of love. This is not something about Indian culture or western culture. It is about preventing damage to a fundamental universal human value that transcends all cultures.
From a moral, religious and political standpoint the attitude of CPLFW is absolutely untenable. No religion or system of morality on earth can ever accept that women (or men) should drink and indulge in sex without any restrictions. The public display of panties (as symbols of love) that CPLFW has indulged in is clearly obscene and obnoxious by every cultural standard. It is sad and unfortunate that Indian academic, intellectual and political establishments have not reprimanded them in the most severe terms.
As I see it, the members of CPLFW are some well-qualified but uneducated women whose general reading has probably never progressed beyond text messages on their mobiles. Academic and political class of the country needs to seriously deliberate upon the problem of growing numbers of men and women who have acquired training, skills and degrees but no education. Women who forced the liquor shop to shift away from their locality might not have been literate but they were educated and knew their responsibilities to their family and society. The same cannot be said about the women who are holding up their dirty panties publicly on the internet and other media. The message emerging from Mangalore brouhaha is that Indian democracy must face up to the challenge of growing numbers of literate but uneducated men and women.
Hmm.. now that the pink chaddi is over, why dont you girls decide something constructive ?, like lets say education for everyone, or cleaning the roads ?, so many things to do, i hope you are over your hangover. I have a new term for you folks, boozing b*tches for India a.k.a BBI's ....
And people, instead of trying to find unimaginative names for those who're doing something constructive, go and start working on education for everyone yourself.
Dear , i object any violence against men or women. If any one do the crime he or she should be booked by law and we all must do that. Two wrong think can't be make a right think. If you say when women take the law in hand is social service , i had objection on that. The above two news is not writtne by me, it is for informations and self resprotications only. Seccond think , there is no excuse for a crime, if beating is a crime it should be crime for both. Rest , you all have the freedom to do waht you like , but reagrding renuka, i had meeting with her few occusions and she is a perfect male hater and even sid: Do not trust men, trust condom and those ram sena people are the child of renuka only , previously they used to beat men now it is women's trun. The famous truth , the dig you open , one day you fall there itself.
The message emerging from Mangalore brouhaha is that Indian democracy must face up to the challenge of growing numbers of literate but uneducated men and women. -- Reproduce and who ask to me to come to reality, it is for them to come out , as i had seen the vilage where people do not get a chaddi to go to school ( i was also among them) , but today seen the Five start also as well as corporate like TATA/Kirloskar also. What is reality , it is for those need to know , how a man have to fight thier life every day 18 hours to get some food for thier family , where as they get the term : Do not trust men , trust condom. At the end the unanswered questions whihc even renuka also not answerd: Does a mother or sisters pain is less when they loss thier son or brother? If so why mor ethan 56000 married men end thier life, but not a single case their wife held responsible? Where as for 28000 married women sucide , it is always men held responsible?
And my dear , i have seen women who do not have a piece of cloth to thier body and on the other hand a women who do not even ready to wear a piece of cloth . That is the reality and history wittness , bad and good women always there the way good and bad man are exist in the world. But unfortuately , if we always try to defend the wrong doing of a bad owmen as socail service , hope ravan also done the same and history wittness the result. Just a lesson for all who try to justify the wrong doing of a women group as social service.
Dear Mr. Swarup, As I see it the women of this group must have read more than you since they know how to spell and punctuate. Harsh statements aside, I bet you will find lawyers, engineers, poets, writers, and educated people of whatever standard you find acceptable in this group. And yes I agree the rich of the country need to take care of poverty and illiteracy and the environment and alien attacks. However since there is only one problem we can tackle at a time, allow us to pick up the often ignored issue of gender inequality and discrimination. Also allow us, the male and female members of this group, the privilege of being intelligent enough to understand that perhaps, a pink chaddi, is a symbol of humourous but deliberate rebellion and a service to our society. And rebellion, Mr. Swarup, though you may not understand it, is often tidal. You can condemn it, chastise it, even suppress it temporarily; but it rises back- often stronger and more solemn- and then it changes history. Seriously, Just Another Member.
@Swarup I'm not really sure how to respond to your comments above. The very fact that you can equate the shutting down of ahaataa's by angry housewives who were being abused by drunk husbands who blew up much needed money on booze to the case at hand of the antics of the goons of the self appointed moral police at the Mangalore pub is in itself, astounding and I would very much like to know what on what basis you have classified the people of this organization as educated but unqualified when from your lengthy comments it seems to be that you are in fact not too well educated regarding the matter at hand, much less qualified about it. I could go into a lengthy rebuttal of so many of your misconceived notions and idea's but I fear that it would be too long for this page. Just think it over, and if you still feel the same way, then I don't believe much can be done to get you to accept anyone else's point of view. Oh and by the way, those pink chaddi's were not displayed on the internet but simply mailed to the Sri Ram Sene. Are you sure you weren't one of the recipients?
@Swarup And P.S. some amount of coherence in your comments would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid its easier to read a coherent grammatically correct simple sentence than an incoherent one filled with all the buzzwords you could think of without making much sense. Just a thought.
Dear , i stronlgy disagree that the issue of gender euality and discriminations is often ignored, where as it is the only issue address in twisted way and do the anti-male, anti-india culture campin and we all enjoy the same, thinking the same as socail service, we even spend more than 7200 crores ruppes our hard enred tax prayers money in the name of women and child well fare and maximum the same goes where you all know...!!! As a reality only this we find every where blown up , result all the law and policy made, let the women do the crime, it will be termed as social service . Where as the whole criminla justice sytem had made on the basis the Men to be treated as FREE ATM machine. I object that , i belive use the word person insted of Men/women ( in the pub more than 20 men also beaten heavily, but all forget that). Rest See the comment of NCW and even the Sagarika ghosh of CNN-IBN , till date seen her advocate in such a strong way for women rights , even taken a back . Yes, we all support to women for any real gender eaulity , but not for making nusinence and if you can't object that, then I would say , we blive in Modern Ravan Principal and forget the Principal of Modern Laxman. Yes, both had fighted for women , but the reson and logic was different. I prefer to belive in Modern Laxman princiapl, rather than modern Ravan Princiapl. At the last, you agree or not , a backlash had allready started and time will give the answer. Panties and Perverts : Sagarika Ghosh http://ibnlive.in.com/blogs/sagarikaghose/223/53147/panties-and-perverts.html With her i had strong debate , where i said, mama, the way it is going on, the huge father less child society and a animale society is on the way. Yes, every soceity and culture have some think good and bad, we must try to appopt the good and restrict the bad. Even today the western culture trying hard to creat the family system, but it had gone out of hand. There people belive to die as debit man , than credit man, where as still in india more than 99% man belive to die as credit man, let it be he a criminla or pandit or railway howker, at least he think to give some think for thier child or other women members. Our goverment is unable to give any socail security to public and it is the family taken care, and if the same destroy without that goverment social security , be ready for worse. Rest, i know very well , to convert this human society to a animale society is on the way in rapid step, i just try to put some break and always say , be a good human, thats all. Yes, mistake done by every one, on one is good, but who learn form mistek is the real human. Sagarika conclodes as under : "Maybe India's young instead of trying to be like characters from Sex In The City, should try to emulate Sarojini Naidu and Jawaharlal Nehru. While the ghastly cultural hoodlums must be dealt with sternly by the law and handed out exemplary and speedy punishment, the lifestyle norms we choose, especially in public places, must be attuned somewhat at least to our surroundings. If we persist in trying to create a mindlessly imitative mythical Las Vegas, we will not be able to defeat the Sri Ram Sene, however many pink panties we may throw at them." At the end just a real statics , which i know none of pink chaddiwala know : We wonder Whose life is in More Danger in India : Men or Women? Crime Bure data 2005 : Married Men Sucide : 52k vs Married Women Sucide 28K.Still there is no LAW to Protect Men why? 2006 Crime Bure Data : Married Men Sucide:55452 vs. Married Women Sucide:29869. 2007 Crime Bure Data : Married Men Sucide:57593 vs. Married Women Sucide:30064. Will Our LAW Maker change the LAW 304B( dowry death) to 304C( Sowry Death) and 498A ( harrasement to wife) to 498B ( Sowry harrasement by wife)
That is the reality of India. One hand we wittness several women of india have to fight for get a galss of water, a piece of cloth, a right to go to school, a right to get euall right to get thier parental assests/property , at the same time we find women who fight for get the right to drink beer, get right to remove the underwear . At the end i must say , women like Nisha , who neither respect the Indian society or culture, know very well how to remove the underwaear of Indian men and misue the same to sale thier own agenda and promote the hate against each others. rest i leave it to the so called literate people to take thier own act and execute. Any activity , for person and spouse i am always there, then my objections will be always to any activity in the name of Men vs women or husabnd vs wife logic and theroy. Crime is crime and punishemnt should be as per crime irrespective of any sex, caste or religion.
Dear Khann, I had request 10 Pink cahddi, so that i can give those who do not have a piece of cloth to cover the body , even our bangalore guys also gone, but they said it is not ment for us and even Nisha refused to give, as i have not trashed any women till date. By the way , i am not a english fathers son, hence you have to go through such english onely, otherwise can ignore. If you have any dought go through this link, every data supported by goverment data link of crime bure only. http://www.savefamily.org/index.php?Itemid=71&option=com_content
And form my side : 4 year old girl put in oven by mother when dad was gone out http://wemen.us/articles/news-for-use/236-hamtramck-girl-4-says-mom-put-her-in-oven.html Can any one have any concer or you feel it is socail service by a women?
I thought that the Pink chaddi campaign was all about fighting for rights of women against oppressive forces or is it? Have you suddenly decided to restrict your area of operation for pub going women only?
If that be so, why are the enlightened people discussing over at the facebook consortium indulging in an expansionism by directing their ire towards the BJP and RSS (perceived right wing organizations like the SRS) who are not at all related to the SRS incident?
Why don't you please put in a word to them as well to keep the discussion to the point and focussed on pub going and SRS?
>>Muthalik & Co beats up women ( and men ) at a pub ** The consortium of *whatever* women sends muthalik and co chaddis >> Muthalik and co would get insulted, and end up doing something worser ** Consortium and supporters will do something more amusing to insult them more.
So where is all this gonna end?
I agree with Swarup's point that two wrongs don't make anything right. So how can we do it right?
Most comments here seem to have fun pointing out grammatical and spelling mistakes that the other has done. Can we really discuss about the actual problem?
Mangalore incident was wrong. And S.Farm or what ever was not right either.
Here are a few things that I think would make any positive difference:
We need women to start standing up for themselves. Women who beat up their husbands coz they were spending their money on alcohol, did so coz they were reliant on their men to bring money to their homes, and families. How about these women stop relying on these men, to take care of their families, and move out of these families, start living independently? If more and more women show their finger to these irresponsible men, these men will be bound to become responsible towards the marriage that they have gotten themselves into.
The consortium, or SRS or whatever group, can start helping these women become independent. By helping them find jobs for themselves, or starting businesses, training them for something that would help them make their own living.
Lets leave going to pubs or smoking or sleeping with people outside a marriage to the individual men and women. If a guy sleeps with another woman, and his woman didn't like it, let her go her own way. If a guy wants to hang out with a girl in a pub or sleep with her in a motel later, and if the girl is willing, What right do you or I have in stopping them. Be it my own sister or my own girlfriend/wife? If I don't like my girl doing it, I rather not have her as my girl, than going abt policing her.
Lets all just live our own lives. And that would be a good solution to these problems. The consortium could probably help bringing out this independence to men/women. Sending chaddis to the SRS can be an act of immediate retaliation, but its not gonna change anything..
I have never loved loose, forward and pub-going women more than NOW! You shall inherit the earth, i tell you! What was that Shakespeare poem? Wait...was there one? Anyway, doesn't matter. Cheers! Waaait a minute..were we supposed to act cool and make smart comments on the campaign to show how up we are on history and civics and politics? Im sorry, Im just a 19-year old guy and I have a midsemester exam tomorrow. But I think Swarup should stop trying to get the last word. And stop nitpicking so much! loser! Arul is cool. Live and let live. If you are so lame that your girl leaves you for another guy, forget her! mature solution. And also, I think the 'loose, pub-going and forward women' tag is just a SYMBOL of women being free to do and say what they want. WHY does everyone have to take everything so literally!! Why is everyone so thick to this? Or are you just pretending to be so that you will have a feeble point to make?
@ swarup, You equate the pub molestation incident to how women protesting with placards in front of a liquor store( with no furniture or enclosure) .These women who apparently are sisters and mothers and wives of these alchoholic men are victims to these men getting drunk .When their men drink and beat them up , they have every right to protest. men drink and go home and beat up their wives. These women at the pub were neither alchoholics nor were they related to the goondas in any way.Yet the goondas took the liberty to beat them up.what the hell is that? Please do not compare these two situations.
Shame on the Mangalore Mayor for prosecuting the Central minister Renuka chowdary . I mean, this mayor has no gall to go prosecute goonda who molest the female citizens of the state.Yet, he has all the time and energy to file a case against a woman minister, a central govt minister , who questions this lack of law and order in the state. Renuka chowdary is a courageous lady and it was or is her job , being the minister for Women welfare to question any action that threatens the safety of Indian women. Going and hitting women in the name of culture is truly a characteristic of the ignorant taliban and essentially the goondas did behave like taliban. The statement was absolutely accurate as well. As far as mangalore's image is concerned, the moment ,churches were attacked and the moment female citizens were abused and hit and the govt. actually brushed it off as a small incident, that very moment , the image of Mangalore went down the drain. So, have some gall, and prosecute and punish ignorant violent goondas raving to molest women . Do that first.
hi nisha,i think we need a young private security agency,LPF(LOVERS PROTECTION FORCE)specially on valentines day.youngsters have to come forward and tackle this problem but at the same time, they need security also.indian police is not able to control these organisations and provide security to lovers. LPF can do some other things also like blood donation.it can control eve teasing.it can also help lovers with help of councelling. nisha,i think u can do something.u can create a wave in youngsters like u already did.
swarup as far as i know none of these women... went ahead and strangled another with the panty did they... what they are doing is peaceful...if you support peace this is the right way to do so. i recall the pigs sent pink sarees... dont you think had they done this before ppl would not have to do all this.... so how are what we have done by sending this wrong...
@Bugsy , exactly the same is applicable for you my dear, get a life of human insted of promoting the animale society. Learn to take some socail responsibility , which a illerate women does at village and hope read the indian consitituion.
@zizowen , hope you have read the same in above comment : "Right to drink is not a fundamental right under Constitution of India or for that matter under any international charter of rights. On the other hand, Article 47 of the Constitution of India says, "The State shall endeavour to bring about prohibition of the consumption except for medicinal purposes of intoxicating drinks"
And the conclude remark of Ms. Sagarika Ghosh , who had activitly support all women's right: "Maybe India's young instead of trying to be like characters from Sex In The City, should try to emulate Sarojini Naidu and Jawaharlal Nehru. While the ghastly cultural hoodlums must be dealt with sternly by the law and handed out exemplary and speedy punishment, the lifestyle norms we choose, especially in public places, must be attuned somewhat at least to our surroundings. If we persist in trying to create a mindlessly imitative mythical Las Vegas, we will not be able to defeat the Sri Ram Sene, however many pink panties we may throw at them."
Rest as i said , i belive in modern laxman principal, not in modern ravan princiapl. Yes, both fight for women's right. Crime done by women should not be treated as social service and this Ram sena or wahtever is none that the same gange of Gulabi( PInK), durga sena , who belive in beat the people and taking law in hand , only think read the NCW investigations and also ask nisha to go to any PUB, which is just behind her own office, all the illegal business , vilation of law , under age drinking happening and to save such pub owners the whole fight converted to men vs women, which i object. Yes the peacefull protest also done in pink condom to those pinkchaddi people.
@India Unlimited , it is not my comparrisiom, it is the article writtne by anil chawal , whcih i sahred to you all as well as great feminsit Sagarika ghosh. Next, i stick to the same , beating and taking the law in hand is not accepted , unfortunately when a women do the same termed as social service . The same group even broken the judges chair openly in delhi , all are scot free. Rest , every one give 100 resons , but at the end it is the law and indian consitituion have to followed if you are indian, if not then every one can take the law in thier own hand. The ram sena and thier gang is created by renuka and thier are thir child only , only difference they gone out of her control now and we common people paind the price. hence when both the ram sena and pinkchaddi group approched our support we refuse to both and say first learn to take the social responsibility and in the name of freedom you can't do waht ever you want. Rest as said , crime is crime and the punishemnt should be irrespective of any caste, religion and sex. If not the negative force will be created and the common people have to pay the price.
@ India Unlimited , do you want to say , only the so called pubgoing have the right to drink and the poor villagers do not have any right to drink? Why this double standarad? Stop treating indian men as free ATM machine, earn your own bread and butter by own hard work, that is life. Fruther in the mangalore the pub itself was illegal business and all the dram done to save the pub owners, it is not my comment, it is the investigation reprot of NCW itself.
And those great lover of Renka must know her all activity: It is the another truth that her ( Renuka) associates and our so called WCD minister openly says after passing the biased Domestic Violence Act:
· It’s turn to suffer the Indian men, as women suffered for long. (Like as Muslim Kings had destroyed a lot of temple, so let demolish the entire Mosque in India).
· Don’t trust Your Men, trust Condom, and in the name of reduce the AIDS. (Forget that the AIDS increased by multiple partner sex and condom used for multiple pattern sex, not for single pattern sex, which we term as married couple)
· It’s Diwaly Gift to Indian women. (With in two weeks, four women send behind the bar under first DV act case in Pune and one age old women left her own house as her daughter-in-law walk in her house with her all friends and parents) Number of cases when the husbands got the child visiting right or child custody, immediately the Domestic Violence act came as gift and the creation of “father less child ” society awarded and our media friends openly announced, a child reunited with mother, but forget to mention that a child became “father less”.
Last few Months all Indian Media (NDTV/CNN-IBN/IBN7/ZEE/India TV) started to justify that “Divorce is not a dirty word today”, as in Delhi itself more than 9000 Divorce cases filed and more than 55% filed by Women only.
Seems it was a dirty word till the time Men filed more Divorce cases, long back, but as now a days it is the women who are filling the Divorce cases more than man, so it should not be treated as “Dirty Word”.
But, they never disclose that, in each and every Divorce cases, it is the Husband who had been treated as a “Free ATM Machine” in front of Judge/Police/Media and more than 98% cases it is the wife’s family demanded or taken huge money from the husbands .
One hand calim pubgoing, loose, forward, but suddenly all became abala nari... and treat thier husabnds as Free ATM machine.. why this double standarad?
@ All pink chaddi group memebrs, the whole wrold and india facing the recessiona nd goverment need more tax to supprot, why not deamdn equll tax for men and women above 5lacks ruppes income? Can any one say , why a pubgoing, loose forward women should pay less tax to goverment?
What Next ? If today people are taking the law in hand one of the main reson the corroption in Judicery, police and goverment servants and on that line: With the backdrop of a legal tussle over disclosure of assets by Judges, the *Campaign for Judicial Accountability and Reform*, is organising a public protest outside the Supreme Court, in a bid for greater transparency and accountability in the judiciary, urging judges to make their assets public and put an end to the embarrassing controversy, which has further put the judiciary's credibility under the scanner. Kindly note, this will be a *silent demonstration* with placards, banners and posters *without any shouting of slogans*.
The public action will be held from *10a.m. - 1:30p.m. on the 26th of February, 2009.* You are requested to join us and kindly *assesmble in front of the Indian Law Institute*, Opposite the Supreme Court, Bhagwan Das Road.
Your presence at this demonstration will greatly contribute towards the purpose and we look forward to seeing you there. Kindly circulate this email to your network of organisations and friends who may be interested in being a part of this pubic action.
Please do get in touch with us on judicialreforms@ gmail.com or call us on 9958146804. Let see, how many in this gorup really concern and prefer to come out from thier A/C cabin and learn to take some social responsibility. Rembemebr : When you see others home is on fire, be sure it is next your trun , your home will be burnt.
I love this swarup character... he's got this neat website savefamily.org which promotes family and marital harmony and supposedly works towards saving the family foundation.
ummm...the first page does quote a certain crime "bure" that actually has a census covering separate statistics for suicides in married men and women! I guess its all a way of promoting family harmony...figuring out how many were martyred to the cause of the great institution of marriage and family is definitely the first step to promoting it!
I love this "bure" too. There is absolutely nothing official about it!!! The figures must be based on feedback from those already dead coz' just like them the figures sure don't exist:-)But then I love statistics - they are such elegant lies when taken out of context.
With 74,659 rapes, 29713 dowry deaths, 152455 cases of molestation, 30999 cases of sexual harassment, 243371 cases of cruelty by husband and his family - men definitely are worse off with such a small share of the pie. Women seem to be having all the fun! For god sakes there are only 24968 men being abducted versus 56784 women....women definitely had more "fun" in 2005 and then on in 2006 and in 2007 and in 2008 and are estimated to have a even groovier time in 2009.
No wonder Swarup is feeling so left out...I mean all these statistics are hyperlinked on his website and no one is raping, molesting, harassing, killing or kidnapping him. Poor chap has no life.
Ahem...ignore my comments swarup (lovely chap that you are)...I'm high on my airconditoning :-)
Wow, swarup. A post every 5 minutes. You seem to have a lot going on. Anyway, what is your point exactly? All above-poverty line women are bad. They are taking advantage of loopholes in the law. They are fighting for foolish things like the right to drink alcohol and dress provocatively. And if they do these things, society will go to hell because weeny guys like you won't be able to handle strong women who aren't under patriarchal control. You are not giving any solutions but are just trying to give a feeble counterpoint to everything. Romantic notions of Indian culture are being flung in the air. I think its pretty clear that we are evolving as a society, though disproportionately. It's time we all accepted that there's a new 'indian culture' on the way, one which is a mixture of the good old traditions, and some assimilated from other cultures. Thats how its always going to be. accept it.
Gender budgeting: Renuka loses out- Hindustan Times Great News for Renuka Lovers. She had enough time to promote and fund for : "Do not trust men, trust condom" or ask women to Join "PUB Bhoro campain" , but have little time to do the Job asigned to her. Still we common people fooled and never wake up. http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?sectionName=HomePage&id=6e0deaf1-4f54-4d99-9d3b-693b1250b834&MatchID1=4924&TeamID1=4&TeamID2=2&MatchType1=1&SeriesID1=1244&PrimaryID=4924&Headline=Gender+budgeting%3a+Renuka+loses+out Women and Child Welfare Minister Renuka Chowdhury may be the government’s face when it comes to women issues, but she fares poorly in spending money meant for them.
Her Cabinet colleagues have done better on account of gender budgeting, according to the numbers in the interim budget, unveiled on Monday.
While overall spending on fully women-centric programmes is estimated to total Rs 14,875 crore in 2008-09, about 30 per cent more than what was budgeted, the women and child welfare ministry is expected to spend about half the money that was allocated for the year. This year, the ministry is expected to spend only Rs 267 crore of the Rs 466.50 crore that was earmarked for fully women-focused schemes.
What is worrying is that the Swamyamsiddha scheme is expected to use only a quarter, or Rs 50 crore, of the Rs 200 crore that was budgeted for it. The scheme funds and aids women self-help groups and entrepreneurs. “Under its second phase, a countrywide programme covering all blocks was to be launched,” said Yamini Mishra of the Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability.
Ministry officials were not available for comments.
The government’s gender budget statement — an exercise that the women and child welfare ministry has been pushing for — shows that other ministries have done better. The social justice and empowerment ministry is expected to spend Rs 646.17 crore on women schemes, almost double the amount it was allocated.
As the blogger asked waht next.. so i said waht next. My point , a crime done by women should not be termed as social service . If women think they do not crime, why they afrid to make the law gender equall? Make the law gender eaull, 10 times more women will be convected for the crime and will be ebhind the bar. We men are so stupid, it is the fight women vs women and we man sacrifice the life. Rest, you agree or not, in last three years, even President of india also have to accept the truth. All women born in Raja Harish cahdra family ( that is the law) and all the men born in Criminla family .. men will understand very soon , be preapre for that.
@Speakeezee, you love me or hate me , even president of india, supreme court and Chief justice of india also accepted and the women who drive thier husbands are started to go to Jail also. Rest, make the law gender equll, men/women replace by the word person, 10 times more women will be convected behond resonable dought as criminla, where as the cases you refred, it is men proved behond resonable dought , that the case was false and fabricated , this are the law not like other law , here a men have to rpove his innocence. Rest , as the blogger asked waht next, certain think had been given, you have the freedom to chose or ignore the same. A lot of feminist and so called liberal men paid the price for not wake up in right time. Crime is crime and punishement should be as per crime, irrespective of sex/caste or religion, can you accept that and make the law gender eaull, insted of hiding behind the biased and assumption based sheld?
@Babajaba , request to indian constituion first , a country where you stay. Allready given for your ready reference and further more, wich definetely you will not find in PUB , that also in under age ( as per delhi, belwo 25 yeras are not allowed in pub , you mentioned you are 19, so first ask delhi goverment to change that, if you are so mature and can take care your own bread and butter by own hard work). Article 29 of the Constitution "Any section of the citizens residing in the territory of India or any part thereof having a distinct language, script or culture of its own shall have the right to conserve the same"
Article 51A, which constitutes Part IV-A of the Constitution, reads as under:
It shall be the duty of every citizen of India (e) to promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women; (f) to value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture; And at the end , a am against any people who promote the hate against each others and violate the indian constituion. If you do not respect Indian constituion, better go to that coutry where you feel comfortable, instead of running anti-men and anti-india campain. Further : Taliban is the creation of USA and Pak! Now they have captured Pakistan to the utter shock of USA!
Once Taliban is in India Renuka and Gang should understand waht is exactly the Taliban and dream of pub bhoro style. They will stop even dream of impoting of western Culture!
Pub Going is a western Culture and against our Constitution! Right to drink is not your fundamental right, if you want first change in constituion.
Taliban plan to target India: Sources 18 Feb 2009, 0610 hrs IST, Times Now
NEW DELHI: After Pakistan agreed to enforce Islamic law in large areas of its restive North West Frontier Province (NWFP), including Swat
Valley, in a concession to buy peace in the region, intelligence sources on Tuesday confirmed the threat that Taliban actually pose to India which is not far from the Indian boundary. (Watch)
Sources have revealed that the Taliban have plans to attack western cultural centres in Indian cities.
@Babajaba , read the soution allready said, but you unable to trace the same. re-produce: Crime is crime and punishement should be as per crime, irrespective of sex/caste or religion, can you accept that and make the law gender eaull, insted of hiding behind the biased and assumption based sheld? Replace the word Men/women to person and Husband/wfie to Spouse. You agree or not, we are moving towards the idology of animale society and huge fund invested and getting invested through media and so called women groups form even UN/UNIFAME, it is just our caution and be ready for huge father less child society.
There's this beautiful image in my head of a shaggy haired hipster looking dude walking on a peaceful street yelling out to people to run away to the south pole if they want to live because the entire earth is about to be submerged by the rising flood- or something. And for a while a person or two come by to reason, then for a while they come by to observe or slight or pretend to indulge, but eventually, no one cares.
swarup.... why exactly is liquor bad... tell me that...not all ppl who drink are drunkards.. and if your whole basis is illegal activities then dont you think that thats what should be stopped people giving illegal substances...also no one asked to send your 16 year there... there is a reason there are age laws to this arent they....
@Swarup - how will changing the law solve anything? Apparently men have the shorter end of the straw as regards the law. but then why weren't the goons at mangalore dealt with by the law at all? No, i disagree. Changing the law will do nothing. We need to change our approach. If every person openly condemns foolish violence like this, then these guys will fade away. That means everyone - especially the underprivileged and illiterate. They're the ones who are the votebank of these guys, and they're the ones who need to stand up and shout! Oh yeah, and the fundamental rights are a sort of 'guideline' as to what is expected from society. The guy who framed the constitution couldn't have explicitly mentioned EACH and EVERY right a guy has. But i wish he had. but then it would have had to be updated everyday!
@moderator! can a restriction on the no of words one can post per day be reduced? that way we ALL shall get to the point faster.
@busgy- thanks! exams are going well. and i think most 19 year olds feel this way! Even the tight, backward, non-pub-goers!
Hi, why cant all you pub, going loose woman go to SWAT valley and suggest Taliban all your "forward" facts ?
They will remove all your chaddies..You wont have to donate it. Especially NIsha susan, You can do all this only in india and that too only against Hindu right wing, because what ever they might do,they are not basically violent.
Dare you to go public with your idenitity on this issue :-) there are so many who want to remove your chaddy, without you donating it . Since all woman in here are "loose" ,"forward","pubgoing" , you all might have already been understood by many men as Free instruments for enjoyment.
My dear friend, as far as I can see most of us here use our own names. My name for instance is here for a thoughtful man of choleric prospect such as yourself to abuse. Now, I don't ask you to come out of your cloak of secrecy. You have your right to your anonymity.
All I ask, is dear Born Hindu, take a deep breath. You might give yourself a heart attack.
What is with the comprehension-impaired people in here leaving absolutely stupid comments? To this person "Born-Hindu", why the heck does it have to be about a community!! The issue is of personal freedom, specifically that of a woman in an Indian society. This incident happened in India, to Indian women, but anyway, I feel too disgusted by your comment to even justify the whole thing to you. And Hindus not basically violent?? Yeah right! We are good at being passive aggressive aren't we? Status of women and caste-system being just 2 examples of that passive-aggressiveness, and obviously whatever happened/happening in Orissa are definitely acts of utter love and tolerance. And why the heck is it such a big deal if a woman drinks? WHY? Because she is a woman? or coz drinking is harming her liver!?! You are so threatened by any expression of protest that you have to come and say something totally inane on the issue, and by your follow-up comment I can only surmise that you are nothing more than a douche and a leering asshole who can't talk about anything other than chaddies! absolutely pathetic! Hold on to your pants Mr Pervert, no one wants to see that here!(awww did that make you cry now?)
dear born hindu... we dont go to the taliban because they are not in india, nothing to do with us..but maybe if women here show that there are always ways like women around did with voting, working and education then maybe women elsewhere will also feel confident to do so too. Also "Born Hindu", people are born a religion but its their actions that make them that and freedom and nonviolence are the main pillars... look that up in the vedas my friend. Furthermore unless people like you dont shut up india will be the next saudi in a saree..wont that be our culture eh
Why did you not protest against the media people who were party to the action?
They were present there, shot from the best angle the whole incident. But if they knew that this would happen why did they not inform the police or why did they not stop the goons.
You are looking for a next project, why not highlight the rot in the media.
@Nisha i thought all you "loose " "forward" woman with no morals were going to have a heart attack by the way you were screaming at Sree ram sena and muthalik, it was just violence which just happened and it was truly not planned by Sree Ram Sena. suggested by the videographers present to caputre it instantly.
Another point about abuse. I am against any abuse or violence against any woman in any country. I have a mother, sister and have lots of female friends whom i care for. But you dont have the right to tell me about abuse because you have abused a whole religion,
What i understand about you,is that you are a suppressed wife, who never get to voice her opinoion at home, so out you are here, on blog to release your feelings and spit your venom on all men.
Where did i support rape? Dear i have sisters and a mother.
Kindly sort out your depression caused by your personal life, then serve the public
You dont have to go to taliban in afghanistan, you can find many pockets with conservatives from other religions. You all are out to make any "majority" or nationalist activity look "fascist" and make all Hindus feel ashamed to be hindus .
1."Saudi in saree" : And you are talking about our India becoming a Saudi.
Dear, dont utter the word veda with that tongue. It looks dirty . Do you know the one of basic principle of Hinduism is tolerance and peaceful co existance and to worship divinity or the supreme soul where ever i can feel him. A hindu, what i am,can feel the presence of god in a church, mosque, jain temple or gurdwara.
Indian culture is rich and diverse and absorbed all positive factors from other religions because of hinduism. and communalism will never succeed here, either leave alone Taliban. But Nationalism would.
Boy, you have to get yourself out of your house and look around,if you do it only once a year. I can understand your feelings, when somebody criticises pub culture. Catches are Dancing nude dames, free enjoyment and a bonuses of chaddies ..
@Bugsy your response to swarup shows how depressed you are. "Extention of stove, washing machine and vagina :-)" Very picturisque , but pretty dumb :D If you are married, then get a divorce soon, because it is getting on to your nerves. Otherise you will blame every male in India for your pathetic life
Kindly dont talk about Hindu culture, it hurts when people like you speak about it. Am fedup of you people;
I remember i have a mother and sister, because i dont want any girl to go dope, booze and dance nude in pubs because i think they too have dads and brothers and they too might feel the same, the above sentence is not about you, since you dont have any man at home :-) if you had you wont be doing such buffalo work
if you are not trying to solve problems by addressing "PERSON"ALLY, why did you all send chaddies to MUTHALIK? and not the guys who thrashed those woman ?
for MEDIA COVERAGE,MALIGN SAFFRON.
I am living a wonderful life, thanks. Hope you too get one.
@ Born hindu -- Oh wow, I wonder why you are so defensive!?! As to me being a perv coz I go to pub ..well your wish for everyone to take their "chaddies" off shows whose mind is in the gutter. And the argument that going to pubs is promoting alcoholism holds as much salt as eating sweets promotes diabetes..not everyone overdoes it and when done in moderation (a term obviously lost on you) is quite fun! It's all very well to look out for the welfare of your loved ones but don't force your ideals on others!! What works for you does not necessarily has to work for everyone else. I never did go to a pub in Delhi, and the only reason was that people with your mind set exist, who think that as soon as a girl has a drink in her hand she is fair game. And don't you DARE tell me that I am not a true Indian, it's people like you who are dividing our country on issues like religion/ideology. MY country is a democratic one, MY country gives me as much freedom to go to a pub as much as the next person, whenever I please, MY country does not judge me for being a woman and trying to keep up with men, MY country respects me. It's people like you who are ruining MY country, who think they have the right to tell everyone what to do. YOU don't deserve to be an INDIAN, leave alone a Hindu!
P.S. Anonymity...are you kidding me, who the heck is using a pseudonym here? You or me?
@ Born Hindu, going back and reading your comments again I am convinced you are not here for any rational argument. You have skillfully skirted everyone's valid points and only picked up on statements where you can pick a fight. Understanding your mindset I really wouldn't want to respond to any follow-up comments by you. just wouldn't be fair, you need to find an intellectual equivalent of yourself and I think you'd have a hard time finding one here.
wow! Karishma great one!! standing ovation... Born Hindu...PLEASE DO ALL OF US A FAVOUR..AND disappear..take a hike to Himalyas..and spare us ur 'wise comments'!
I'm not born hindu. I mean none of us are really BORN hindu, muslim, sikh...get my point?
But I sure was brought up hindu, I am hindu and I revel in being a hindu.
Just like I revel in my freedom to go to a pub and maybe just stick to virgin mojitos coz' I'm the designated driver for the evening or go to a discotheque and feel free to dance my heart out.
I am as anti the people who stop me from going to a pub as I am anti the people who stop a woman in a saree from entering a pub!
The debate at hand really has nothing to do with religion...its really about freedom and tolerance. Fanatacism is not limited to the banner of a particular religion. It is actually a suppression of freedom and tolerance. I am against fanatacism not religion.
So lets not bash religion or sex. The common thread is that everyone has the freedom of expression and the right to live their life.
We are on a slippery slope here. Today say we sit back while women are banned from going to a pub, tomorrow from a discotheque, day after from a movie hall, the day after that from a hospital. All these places have body parts on display which to one person's sensitivity may amount to obscenity or may amount to being against our "culture". Soon we'll have women banned from the streets because just a mere glimpse of them leads men to commit depraved acts like rape.
My question is where does this ride end? Once we are on this slippery slope ...its all downhill from here! Which is the reason why I would rather make my voice heard now. Because one of the things of being a good hindu is to speak up against all unfairness. And the double standards being applied today to women vis a vis men are unfair.
Yes, I also understand enjoying our freedom responsibly. I would not drink and drive. I would not squander away hard earned money when my family wants for food. But shouldn't this be true of men and women both? Then why conveniently thrust upon women the sole custodianship of "culture".
Culture ultimately is a set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes a group. As the group evolves so does culture. So culture itself cannot be defined but its basic tenets can.
Lets not reduce our culture by making its basic tenets "don't express love", "don't wear jeans or mini skirts", don't go to a pub". This is an insult.
Lets instead abide by the basic tenets of respect, tolerance, freedom and dignity. When you differ on a person's concept of freedom, be tolerant, respect different thoughts and attitudes and yes if you must protest...protest with dignity.
If the men and women in this campaign are using pink chaddis to express their angst, let's not forget that this is a mere symbol much like burning bras in the burn your bras movement in the US. It is a call for empowerment, an appeal for tolerance and a declaration of freedom.
Lets all live a wonderful life and not inanely believe that someone else's life has to be less than wonderful for ours to be wonderful.
We all are not born hindu, muslim or sikh....but we sure are born free. And thats whats most important.
Excellently put. Symbolism is completely lost in our country. Plus We need to upgrade our sense of humour. Whatever direction our 'culture' goes in next, i hope there's a lot of free exchange of humour! Born hindu, your very name scares me. I think religions have become like football teams, and people become so involved in the whole game that they shall do anything to fight for their teams. But why? 2000 years and humans are still the same. Apparently evolution has stopped.
@Karishma, I am not looking out for people to pick fights, but maybe it was something in your campaign that pissed me off. As you said, its a "matter of your freedom" to "wear your chaddy" or "throw at others" This is what makes India, what it is. Freedom...
@speakeazee
Good points, clear thinking. You are meant for blogging. Godspeed.
One more thing, "i dont want to tell you, what you should be doing". And i also thank god, that you are not born as my sister and i am in way, related to you or know you.
I know what i am saying is RUDE. it would suffocate me,if i dont spell it out.
@ Born Hindu, believe me more than you I am relieved that I am not related to you. Men like you make me respect and love my father and brother all the more who have always looked out for me but NEVER treated me with anything but respect. And as most people know that respect is a 2-way thing, you give respect and THEN you get respect. I can go clubbing with my brother because both of us are capable of making sound judgments and both of us know it, so obviously neither of us feels the need to keep the other one in "check" (more precisely, my brother doesn't feel that I am not being Indian enough or Hindu enough by being in a club, coz he knows I am smart and can tell good from bad)
And dude, get over the chaddi-throwing mania that you have!! It just makes you sound ridiculous!
Oh and you are not interested in "telling" me/us what to do?? Ummm let me just quote you here in case you have forgotten your own statement "why cant all you pub, going loose woman go to SWAT valley and suggest Taliban all your "forward" facts ?"
Yeah if that's not telling someone what to do I don't know what is! Now you see what I mean by you skirting the issue?
On his three-day visit to the state, Gandhi is traveling in Saurashtra, Central and South Gujarat districts, meeting students, inspecting the drive of Youth Congress to recruit new members and looking after the preparation of its elections.
When asked about his Valentine, Gandhi said, "I do not believe in Valentine's Day, There should not be one day to show that you care for somebody."
@J i just came back to see ,if it is done with. Does "chaddi throwing" sound weird to you? Then what are you doing in this blog? You forgot you are here to promote "sending your chaddis" . You cannot send chaddis to others, without somebody throwing that, or WORSE( I wonder what it will be.. Hope its not cowdung) back on you.
And about "US" being related .Thanks,But NO. and love your brother and father.. girl/Man or what ever.. Who said not to? Why dont you ask them, if they appreciate you boozing, and dancing in the pubs?? Well,if they do.they are wonderful.. But not me or many of us, whom you have hurt.
@Bugsy i was not abusive. Look at the responses from your "chaddiwalas" what i have got,and i have not been more abusive than that.
Please have a look at that youtube video and tell if your LOVING BROTHER AND FATHER, would love to see you ,among those kids like that hiding your face with a clothe.
And kindly dont talk about drugs and booze being different, and pubs and parties being different. There is no moderate consumption of alchohol, moderation is possible only in THIS BLOG. Alchoholism begins in moderation and ends in drowning that person in booze.
"Crass crap from passers by" Why do you always try to irritate me ?
I dont give a penny about you or any of your chaddy walis, because this "chaddy show" has not made you people "IMPORTANT", in any way, in public view. If you decide to arrange a public meeting, you will understand what indian public thinks of "loose, forward, and pubgoing woman".
you will see yourself garlanded with and later neck deep in heap of condoms, maybe more things, like chappals and spoiled eggs.
maybe if you instead of promoting condom throwing if you actually gave them out india would not have such high rates of HIV.. furthermore clearly this is not getting attention from people in india agreed but you sure are giving it tons of attention for something you dont care about. As for things cant be done in moderation, haha that defies purpose, so when you eat do you become a glutton, do you never stop eating till you die and burst...also one thing i have noticed you keep saying that you believe in tolerance no you dont... you call westerners whores, loose but never have i heard that someone got beat up for wearing a saree in a foreign country or for celebrating holi...tell me who is more tolerant of whom now... people should be bothered with what they do not tell others what to do.. you talk of not letting people drink, dress as they wish, think how you would feel if someone told you that you have to drink, have to smoke, have to dress a certain way. Why do you want choice that doesnt affect you to be taken away from someone. Remember do unto others are you would want done to you.
Ahem ahem. Henceforth the use of alcohol for medicinal purposes should be banned because it only results in "drowning that person it booze". Speak for yourself dude, some of us know how to hold our liquor, and you obviously don't. Question. What did you do? You're obviously super guilty. You can't let loose because you've done something that scares you to death and so you've gone to the other extreme in order to make your peace with God. See what you don't understand about the members of this group is that we're not doubtful. We understand that no religion could intend for women to be beaten up, or men such as yourselves to decide the lives and standards of many. We understand that no culture can be frozen in time, and so we do the best we can. Unlike you, we don't lie to ourselves. And just by threatening to heap us with condoms, chappals and eggs, you prove to us that we are more Indian and at least more Hindu than you. We take a stand for human rights by using a frivolous but strong symbol. You choose to insult us, and demean us and then try to beat us down. Sanatan Dharma, look it up- "The recognition of the spiritual essence of life and its infinite religious expressions."
Zizowen, I couldn't have said it better, you covered all the points, I don't even want to address that person directly now, he is just an incoherent fool who half the time doesn't have an idea about what he is writing (I mean, for God's sake when the hell did I ever express a wish to be related to him for him to say "No thank you", or when did I ever condone drugs? I mean, dude THINK before speaking! FYI there's a difference between the addictive threshold of people and substances, but this statement will definitely be lost on him coz he just isn't looking for any rational reasoning)And as to me taking the time to watch some obscure video on youtube of misguided and foolish kids, forget about it, like I said I HAVE a Brain, I can tell right from wrong, and being caught in a drug-bust (or anything that can land me in jail)is not one of the things I am going to be a part of, coz I enjoy my family's trust but I don't misuse it! And lastly he certainly can dole it out but has a pretty tough time taking it from others!
@Born Hindu "I dont give a penny about you or any of your chaddy walis," if this is the case, why are you super enthu about replying to every sentence of whats written here??Please go get a life @Karishma, Bugsy, yasha211,zizowen and others..lets NOT waste our time in replying to this person...the more we reply to him the more we give him attention..he really doesnt deserve it..let him live in his prehistoric age, where women are beaten up and thrased and suppressed..if (god forbid) anything of such sorts happens to his wife/sister/daughter, maybe then he'll learn
Dont talk about my sister. I dont want any of you disgusting people to even mention her.
And about something happening to her,she is well brought up and not in your "Pub culture".
I think i told you many times, i am against any kind of violence against woman, leave alone violence even abuse..
But what you did by taking Brahmakumari's Logo and replaced Ohm with your disgusting chaddi, pissed me off. More over, how such INTELLIGENT AND BRAINY INTELLECTUALS like you forget that, the camera and press were ready to shoot that "1 min show" and there too you can just see,a girl being chased and somebody trying to hit her ,unfortunately one of them fell down. I am pertty sure, you guys are not used to VIOLENCE or have seen what VIOLENCE is.
and since you are talking about violation of human rights, now you since you are almost done with sree ram sena , Go for Catholic church in Kerala( Murder of NUn,for seeing threesome in convent canteen between Priests and NUn,suppression and abuse of Nuns within convents)and SIMI and indian mujahiddeen, ( Supression of woman, against female education,Violence which means..real VIOLENCE with bombs and swords)
Any guys in here ready to take the challenge? I am 100 % sure, none here have the guts to face violence in the streets.so here you are, trying to collect chaddis online and defame symbols of religious organizations, and fill pubs.
I wonder if you ever sent muthalik chaddis on V day. if you were so brave, why dont you all give it to him directly ? :) we will call the press too.
I truly love you guys :-) What a bunch..
And for your information, even i celebrate V day and am not against it. I am not against you, but only against your DOUBLE STANDARDS.
if you had distributed those chaddies instead of throwing it on one person, it would have been much better too.
i never used the word "whore". think again maybe you dreamt.Dont respond when you are half asleep.
I dont have the right to tell anybody what not to do.i agree, But when it concerns my country and my surroundings, yes i have as much RIGHT as you.
if you can think of sending Chaddies, we can think of sending condoms to you
If you can think of sending every female to pub, i have my RIGHT to think, it is a wrong approach and i believe it is wrong for MEN or WOMAN To be alchoholic or live on DOPE.
Go to rave parties yourself dude, dont try to increase female numbers in there.
@Yasha, I would repeat the same. Just talk for "yourself" .not for the country and kindly not about "sanadhan dharma". And your point on alchohol,is very much wrong. You can find many, who started with medicines containing alchohol and later became full time boozers. I know, that you very well know that i am right,But dropping lines for the sake of arguement.
Tolerance and peaceful co existance is defenitly the basic principle of Hinduism. I agree and we agree on only that point. Even i am totally against abuse or violence towards woman. But not responding because of fear , or COWARDICE is DEATH as per sanathan dharma. I wont restrain myself from responding because you guys wont like it,or not.
I think ,your direction is pretty wrong If you want to stand up for human rights, there are many many places within india. i dont have to tell you where(when i mention that, you guys will call me Fascist)
if you send chaddies to those who stop woman from having education, throw acid on face for not wearing burqa, thrash girl for tattooing "Masha allah" on her hand then i would say you people are not biased.
@Nisha Susan You can send some chuddies to Catholic church in kerala too, as they too have very poor human rights records, Refer "Amen" Book by a Nun who reveals what happens inside those convents.
So when you all start sending chaddies to all Human rights violators , irrespective of religion. I would apologize for misunderstanding you, But if you cannot:
I would say,you all are doing a safe PUBLICITY STUNT and get some CLOUT and CHEAP FAME. you are doing with it SRS,because you know it is an organization without much political clout or SUPPORT,and you all are safe at HOMES. if you had done such things with SIMI or the CATHOLIC CHURCH. I wonder what publicity you would have got :-)
Stop HIndu bashing, Be True to secularism and address Human rights issues with all communities and religions in our country.
Completely agree with you Saima. Will only add that I stand by each and every thing I said and am happy in the knowledge that I am going to have a much more fulfilling, respectful, free, safe and amazing life thanks to the people in my life and the people involved in campaigns such as this one who aren't afraid to stand up for equality and democracy and against tyranny, and are able to do it in a witty and peaceful manner. Hats off to you guys.
I love all things about you, mentioned below except the teddy part, & YOUR CHADDY CAMPAIGN.
love eating, love rains, love reading..love the smell of petrol, love the smell of water on the mud, love running my hand through a furry soft toy, love sleeping on the cold side of the pillow..love doing nothng
i don even want to waste a mili-second replying to any of ur further queries...GO SEE A DOCTOR... and reply/ abuse as much as u please..i will refuse to acknowledge u/ur posts
if you are talking about mentioning "CHADDI" everytime, you were talking of removing it and sending to somebody else. it was more obscene.
if you and some of your friends think i need a doctor, millions in india might think ,you all need doctors. Keep blogging; and once a while go out and see real world.
born hindu...you pick and choose words to target on.. you still didnt answer the question of moderation... not to mention that instead of bad mouthing one campaign dont you think your time would be better spent at removing the problem, you say that this is wrong way to approach things but hitting is wrong... tell me and i dont want any other discussion with you till i get the answer to this one question.. which is the greater wrong...sitting in a pub having a drink or beating a woman because she is in the pub...
i repated atleast 5 times, within my script that what "Sree Ram Sena activists did is wrong" and " I dont endorse neither abuse nor violence against woman". I know you did not read any of that. and as of answering you:
"Beating a woman is pretty much wrong than having a drink in a Pub"
Now why dont you answer this:
Why do you guys do the following:
1) Involve RSS(which is an organization with a clear nationalist ideology) in this, where as Sree ram sena activists perpetrated this violence. Why do you treat all hindu organizations hypocratically and turn a deaf ear to all violence by others?
2)Why did you guys use Brahmakumaris Logo(which is nowhere near violence, leave alone responding to this)
3)Dont you think, with the support that you are giving( i know this campaign wants to protest against violence) you are promoting a pub culture ,or atleast supporting it?
4)Why are you obsessed with radical elements in only one religion?
1) Involve RSS(which is an organization with a clear nationalist ideology) in this, where as Sree ram sena activists perpetrated this violence. Why do you treat all hindu organizations hypocratically and turn a deaf ear to all violence by others?
firstly i dont know what you are talking of as you should clearly know by now not to judge without knowing, i HAVE NOT sent a pink panty to RSS as far as i am concerned i sent it to the guilty so before you make assumptions do find out the truth...
2)Why did you guys use Brahmakumaris Logo(which is nowhere near violence, leave alone responding to this)
I have not made that logo nor do I know what it is affiliated with...my logo is different,... but ofcourse you jumped the gun again now...
3)Dont you think, with the support that you are giving( i know this campaign wants to protest against violence) you are promoting a pub culture ,or atleast supporting it?
yes i support freedom if that is what you are asking...because i have never overdosed in medicine, eating, drinking, i do believe in moderation.
4)Why are you obsessed with radical elements in only one religion?
HAHAH as i said judge not and be judged not...i have nothing against any religion i equally think all are vices, I believe in following the law and being a good Samaritan and that shall give me a goodnight's sleep .
thanks for answering my question, now what have you done to stop violence that occured and still occurs on women...clearly you dont think this is a good idea( to each his own ) then must be because you started something better right..because you said it was more wrong to beat women so clearly that would be task one in elimination and the other second for you.
Instead of kicking out the ladies from Pub, why these moral police concentrate on people spitting on the road, those who are making the public places dirty or the politicians or police who are taking bribes? These moral police is trying to fool people in the name of Ram. They must be banned and anyone who repeats such crimes against women in such an organized way should be hanged
@Zizowan I think u should not be wasting time in this blog, because you are not following what this campaign is about and your answer is "i dont know" to anything that has happened.
Read Nisha susans interview .she says Muthalik is a franchise of RSS.
Anyways good luck the defamation suit. All of you might be going to the court, are you not? or just your BOSS, Nisha susan?
Which ever comment, does not match your views are trolls,ya ? If you dont have the stomach to accept criticism, dont do such things. "PUB GOING ,LOOSE & FORWARD LADY " :-) geeeeeeeeeeeeee,
i find it strange that women (if some of you above are women at all and not embarrassed pink-chaddi-gifted men) are fighting over this campaign which clearly supports the social rights of women
@ bugsy , who says - " IMHO, Islam is famous for female oppression in the name of religion. But, its for the muslim women to realise it and WANT a change. Let them start a protest against their own fatwas and oppressive religious practices and then we can stand solidly behind them. But, not for a second before that."
This is succular dhimitude at its best. Using the same logic you should have waited till the assaulted girls from mangalore pub to start the protest, You DIDNT.
Nisha Susans christianity did not stop her from protesting against hindu sri ram sena, but when it comes to protesting against islamic funsamentalists in haryana, she wants to wait till muslims protest !! WHat a pseudo intellectula and a fraud nisha is.
If gender equalty is the aim of this campaign, you should immediately start sending green chaddis to maulvis.
Ofcourse you will not do that , as you will get a fatwa & a bomb in return , where as hindu is a soft target. Loser!
Born Hindu, stop threatening other users in the comments section. Swarup, no one can hit anyone else. that is the point here. STop mixing up issues .. Please. a group of goonds think it is okay to molest and attack women in the name of culture. No culture has a right to set roles that are condusive to abuse. That is what we are talking about. STop bringing in tax issues, and other such things. Please.
@bugsy, lets stick to your specific statement on supporting muslim women.
When it comes to protesting against islamic right wingers , who have even passed a fatwa to ban girls from going to schools,( I am sure the right to go to school is as important a right as going to the pubs ) you say the muslim women should start the protest & you will support later.
In mangalore pub incident, the aggrieved girls did not start the protest , that didn't stop you from supporting the chaddi campaign.
The question is , why the doule standard? The answer , mullahs will settle the issue with a bomb in chaddis office , where as hindus will grin & bear. ( remember rushdie, taslima, danish cartoons ?? )or the apology by editor of statesman recently??
As for your opinion on other posters, india is still a democracy. So feel free
@bugsy , 1.Your contention that mullahs dont send bombs is laughable. Read up on Mullah Omar, no.2 of al qaeda. 2.Muslim Personal law is there to address civil disputes between muslims.Education in schools is not something muslim personal law addresses.Besides education of girls is a universal cause , which nobody can oppose.
You are beating around the bush instaaed of answering my question.
1. A group of mullahs in UP have passed a fatwa , barring girls from attending the schools & are enforcing the same.
2. The right to go to schools is as important a right as going to pubs. Hope you agree.
3. The girls assaulted in mangalore did not start the chaddi campaign, But you happily supported the cause.
4. Now when I ask you to protest the gender discrimination being enforced by mullahs of UP, you say the muslims have to protest first !!
WHy this double standard? If you can start the protest against ramsena, even if the assaulted girls did not start the protest, what stops you from similar protests against mullahs ?
My guess is muslims will react violently , as they did in case of danish cartoons , unlike hindus. So no secular wants a fatwa,& will play safe when it comes to Islam.Hindus are easy targets.
You are just following the SOP of "liberal seculars ".
You all because of your campaign, gave this guys fuel and let them gather support. otherwise he would just have remained a local politician with local clout.
Since you live in karnataka, unlike nisha susan keep away from dark alleys.
I know you all are just good at using CAPITAL letters and RED COLOUR and chaddies to express your feelings, and would faint at the sight of blood or violence.
Truly, i wish you people had done something more creative than, giving undue publicity to people and getting infamous yourselves.
@Ravi i spent days trying them to get rid of their double standards, But all that they could understand is that i am a "Hindu fundamentalist"; i tried to explain these points to a woman here(who calls herself bugsy)
1) i would have supported them if they did a candle light vigil 2) protest against all violence against woman in all religions, not just hinduism(But i guess she values safety of herself and her family, so dont want bombs and swords spoil her peace at home,so they chose Hindus who never respond even if stamped to dirt) 3)i am against pub culture like many indians;not that i am against boozing, but most of the pubs supply dope and are pickup points; Unlike many of those who are commenting here,i have spent quite some time in mangalore and know how it works. 4)disgracing a religious organizations logo(brahmakumaris) could hurt many; they wont listen.
Seriously @Bugsy
i think, you all should try to stop these goons yourself which you have brought out, other than crying out to bystanders and public to protect you.( i dont wantto be rude;but i am sure many who are reading these posts would have same opinion)
I read something interesting which you had written to ravi which i felt , i should answer: U are not IMPORTANT and dont even value a penny. But if i dont answer this,(consider this personal attack or whatever,i dont care, you deserve what ever you get,on NET or in REAL)
"There have been some abusers and trolls calling themselves "Hindus" who have filled this blog with vomit and hate - mainly targetting the woman - Muthalik style."
Dear, Get a life.you are just finding reasons to tell people woman are being attacked, and you are the protectors of woman in india. you are nothing better than Sree ram sena. If they wronged by attacking woman.
YOU WRONGED BY DISGRACING indian woman, chaddies!!bah! do you think all indian woman are like you?i dont think so. do you think any WELL BROUGHTUP GIRL would like to send her undergarments to men??? i dont want to comment on you. i have understood ,you dont have clue to anything that i am asking you.
"The language used is sick, ridden with personal attacks and most times skirting the real issue. Some of these people sound like jobless eve teasers. One of them seems to be into pimping too - wanted to export us woman to taliban to get raped. (so much for protecting Indian women and preserving "culture")"
@bugsy again PIMPING: are you the commodity to be pimped? i think you can pimp yourself, since you can send your undergarments to others.
you know very well, what i mentioned was,in any intolerant country, pub culture wont be tolerated and skimpy clothing and sending chaddies.
JOBLESS EVE TEASERS: anybody who answer you tit to tat,you try to frame them as "hindu fundamentalists" or "muthalik type"
As expected , You do not have an asswer to my points.
If the chaddi campaign was really against gender equality, the mullahs who banned girls from entering schools will be drowning in a sea of green chaddis by now.
The sister in Kerala , who has documented in her recent book that she was sexually harassed for decades in her church , would have found support here. Why not send chaddis to the pope?
Btw, the nun in question has already protested, so where is the support to her from this group ? ( as you claimed earlier , you will support aggrieved parties only after they protest !!! )
To reiterate , the assauled girls in mangalore did not start the protest , but you did join the campaign. Why this double standard?
But as it looks like a covert operation supported by Tehelka to run down hindus & their organisations, the silence on gender inequality amngst non hindus , is ominous but understandable as a typicla "succular" trait.
Even a certified "succular" knows the muslims will deal with chaddi protests by a bomb or beheading.. Hindus are easy targets.
You are a pathetic pseudo intellectual, with no integrity of purpose. Sorry.
@Bugsy sister, read your points here. Felt really good. You are very well informed and your language is very touching. I totally agree to "gender equality" point mentioned. But dont you think, this case was given undeserving amount of publicity, where as there are many other happenings within India which are not addressed at all?
When you start sending chaddis to all others, who have oppressed woman(eg: Catholic church, nuns :ref "Amen" by Sister jesmy,Since you always send chaddies to the head and not the hands which do the crime, guess you will have to send them to bishop which is really bad, since it is really disrespectfull; ) Please read the below link and send him some chaddies too : http://noburka.blogspot.com/2006/11/indias-leading-muslim-cleric-describes.html
And when you fall short of chaddies, i will with all my heart donate some too.
Long live secularism, May everyone be equal in India. Not just woman be equal to men, but also let all religions be treated equally.
@Bugsy ---------------- "Maybe you are right. We are the scum of society. But, what if you are wrong? We will burn and die in your hatred and anger. We will be molested on the streets and denied all that you take for granted because we have a pair of breasts"
Why dont you understand you are hitting in the wrong place. Why do you say "Hindu Taliban" where as muthalik could have been called a thug. Why do you use the word "Hindu"and even dare of adding it with "taliban". if you are talking about freedom for woman within "hindu" community in 21st century, sister do you really live in india?if yes, are you blind? i wonder..because from what i see, except for like " Fathers not letting their daughters come home late, sometimes restricting usage of mobile phones, not letting them drive cycles on mainroads, and sometimes not letting them wear short clothes" i have not seen any less freedom for girls than for guys. these restrictions originate from love and care, not hate.
---------------
"Are you are intimidated by women, that your only benchmark is poor or unclothed women? These women are poor because they were pulled out of school as soon as they reached puberty. Ask any sociologist what the secret of a developed country is and they will tell you without batting an eyelid - "A 12 year old girl". If she has the same freedom as the 12 year old boy - financial, social, sexual, legal, educational - the country and the culture thrives"
Dear, Your eyes are fixed towards west, kindly look back and inside your country. ---------------------
"Do you hate your lust so much that you hate us for who we are? Are you afraid the Indian man will lose his sense of entitlement and have to work to find a wife instead of having her giftwrapped by his parents? Maybe you are right. We deserve horrible things to happen to us. We will be aborted as foetuses, by educated fathers driving mercedes cars, who fear the girl in an 8 week old ultrasound. We will be raped and told that our character and clothes merit our raping, good karma you see. That is fine"
"Wife giftwrapped " and deliverd by my parents: I wont blame you, i would blame it on your upbringing. It is only because,i am sure of my parents, and i feel they will do only the right thing for me, my parents finding a girl for me,means they guide me on whom to choose, leaving ultimate choice to me.
i am sure "YOU WONT UNDERSTAND"
I agree to your point of female infenticide. What are you doing towards it? I have heard many feminists shouting how female infenticide is an evil..but dont know much about what they have done towards,it Trust me, instead of asking chaddis, if you had truly initiated a campaign against it,i would have donated funds within my limits too.
About being raped coz of clothing:
Dear, Have you ever been to some of those pubs in mangalore, where these girls got roughed up? Are you aware of the fact, many such pubs have half priced rooms for genuine accessory purposes? Do you know in many parties in karnataka, girls who are slightly alochoholic are fed with dope unknowingly and used by male friends or colleagues ? i know you are very much aware of all this, since live in karntaka . I have never heard of a man being raped, after doped by a woman. If you have never known all this, i can guide you on places. take your chaddy gang there, :) you will find many of your fellow campaigners in there.
--------------------- "What if you are wrong? Have you never been loved, that you need to wage war on 500 million women at once? What if you are wrong? All these years your point of view has been the common one and has led to nothing but tears and misery. "
I can feel your pain thinking about woman, but out of the 500 Million you mentioned i think only less than 1 lac might talk like you, and i do suggest you elaborate on the tears and misery which is gender specific.because, since you have 50,000 facebook members, you can guide all of them towards such issues, once you are done with defacing muthalik.
--------------------------------------- "A woman is a human being like you are, not a 'Devi' or a 'Randi'. Is it our problem that you can imagine us in only two forms? I don't expect you to understand. You are a man. There is no reasoning with your hatred. So hate and hate fully. So be a man and when your mother or sister or daughter or wife comes to you crying with tales of horror inflicted upon them by other men. [Don't think this happens to only women who drink] So when it happens, and I really pray that it doesn't, look your mother/sister/daughter/wife in the eye and read your posts to her. Tell her that statistically and by law and for all other reasons she deserves to be molested. Then you will be a real man, and all women will be put in their deserving place"
About my sister/daughter: In india from what i know(believe me i have lived in 4 middle east nations, and eaurope too within this age) we have freedom, real freedom which makes us feel free. for man or woman, there are genuinely concerned people who hold you back, when you fall short of getting into the train. who lend you hand to get into the bus,who let elders or handicapped cross the road too. I believe, good that you do doubles back to you. I am sure my sisters or daughters would be safe in india, much safer than in any other nation.
--------------------------------------------
"Congratulations. You win. I'm tired of this sadism, this vulgarity, this street fighting. What can you say to people who enjoy inflicting pain. May you all find peace."
Dear Bugsy what we had was a discussion, i was not trying to wrestle you down. Why do you provocate people when you dont have stomach to stand criticism?? Pain is Humane( not just for woman.) When was i vulgur? the only vulgur thing here is "Chaddy" which is an undergarment, wrongly used in wrong place Wish i could donate some boxers too,but you asked for a wrong cause; Even when you say,you dont want to fight, you still keep the blame game open.
Hi...You stopped by my blog so I came over to see you! Just read about Pink Chaddi
ReplyDeleteGlad to see there is a consortium of pubgoing loose and forward women...
World needs us!
What next? What next? I heard Muthalik and friends are burning all the chaddis... What a waste! For all the talk about helpin the homeless, they could have at least distributed them. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAnd the is the news for all pink chaddiwals:
ReplyDeleteCase against Renuka admitted in M'lore court
The first additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court here on Monday
admitted a criminal case against Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare
Renuka Chowdhry.
The case has been filed by Ganesh Hosabettu, Mayor of Mangalore, and fifteen
other individuals and organisations alleging that Renuka insulted Mangalore
by saying in the wake of the Jan 24 pub attack that Mangalore and Dakshina
Kannada were being 'Talibanised'.
Court proceedings held that a "private criminal case" against Chowdhry was
in order under different sections of the Indian Penal Code. The three
sections of IPC invoked are 153 (a) (statements inciting enmity between
groups); 153 (b), (assertions prejudicial to national integration) and 505
(statements "conducive to public mischief"). The Mangalore mayor said
Chowdhry had accused all Mangaloreans of being violent and had compared them
with the Taliban.

"Right to drink is not a fundamental right under Constitution of India
ReplyDeleteor for that matter under any international charter of rights. On the
other hand, Article 47 of the Constitution of India says, "The State
shall endeavour to bring about prohibition of the consumption except

a philosopher by vocation and a management consultant by profession.
More at :
Maidservants working in our locality live in a slum called S. Farm.
The slum had a country liquor shop. As is usual in many such shops,
the shop also had an 'ahaataa' (courtyard). The ahaataa is an open
area with bare minimum crude furniture. Customers who buy a bottle
from the liquor shop can sit in the ahaataa and consume it there. A
large number of the men in S. Farm used to visit the ahaataa and blow
up their earnings there. This used to cause hardships to their
families. A few months ago under the leadership of a social worker (a
woman I do not know) all the women of the slum decided to do something
about the menace. One fine evening all the women surrounded the
country liquor shop and the ahaataa. They were holding placards in
their hands demanding closure of the establishment. All the men who
were inside the ahaataa were beaten with footwear. In many cases wife
/ sister of the man being beaten was cheering the crowd to do a more
thorough job. Police watched as spectator only ensuring that the
beating did not cross limits. The next day, authorities decided to
shift the liquor shop away from the area. The women were jubilant.
They had emerged victorious and felt empowered.
The above incident was not reported in any newspaper or electronic
media. Such incidents have taken place in hundreds of places across
the country. In most states of the country, there are rules in place
that if women of the area protest against any liquor shop, the shop is
shifted immediately. Getting these rules made has been a major
achievement for women activists who want to ensure that men take care
of their families and not squander away their earnings on alcohol.
Contrast the incident of S. Farm with the protest against pubs in
Mangalore. The tables have surely turned. Instead of women protesting
against men drinking, it is the men who are protesting against women
drinking. When women protest against men drinking, there are no issues
of individual freedom or human rights or "who gave you the right to do
this". I am not in favour of beating up any one – whether men or
women. But surely, for all those who believe in equality of women,
beating up of women drinkers is in no way worse or more condemnable
than bashing up of alcoholic men. So, one fails to understand the hell
that has broken loose after the protest against women-in-pubs by
Shriram Sene in Mangalore. Pramod Muthalik, leader of Shriram Sene,
has gone on record apologizing for the rough handling of women and has
said that they never intended to beat any woman. Pramod has
apologized, while there is pride in the heart of women who beat up men
at S. Farm. Yet, strangely the media and official establishment seem
hell bent to prove that Pramod Muthalik is a criminal worse than any
terrorist, while remaining silent about all women who have gone
violent across liquor shops all over the country.
Women empowerment, in India, has always meant the right of women to
demand a say in key decisions related to family, society and country.
Women, who bashed up their alcoholic husbands / brothers, felt that a
man had no right to spend all that he earned. A man owed it to his
family to bring his earnings home and if he did not do so, women
believe (and almost everyone agrees) that they have a right to force
him. The role of women as caretakers of family has been central to
women empowerment in India. Even the demand for reservation for women
in legislatures and Parliament is based on this understanding of women
empowerment. Votaries of women reservation bill have often argued that
women are more responsible than men and that they will prove to be
better rulers of the country, just as they take better care of the
family.
Women activists in India have never wanted to equal men at all the
wrongs that men are accustomed to do. It would have been preposterous
for any of the men at S. Farm to offer a drink each to the agitating
women. None of the women activists agitating against liquor shops
across the country has ever asked for a right of women to have a drink
at the shops.
Right to drink is not a fundamental right under Constitution of India
or for that matter under any international charter of rights. On the
other hand, Article 47 of the Constitution of India says, "The State
shall endeavour to bring about prohibition of the consumption except
for medicinal purposes of intoxicating drinks". It is clear that
protesters at Mangalore (and also the women at S. Farm) were only
acting to raise awareness and force the state to fulfill its duty as
prescribed under the Constitution. Nothing can be more legitimate
political activity than that.
It will not be incorrect to say that the movement of women empowerment
in India suffered a serious setback when there were protests against
the Mangalore incident. To make matters worse, some women have come
together under the banner of "Consortium of Pub-going, Loose and
Forward Women" (CPLFW). No one knows what is meant by the word
"forward", but a loose woman is defined by dictionary as "a woman
adulterer". Should we take it that these women claim to believe in
going to pubs and having sex outside marriage as a matter of right?
For these women, love is something that happens in and around panties.
As an expression of their idea of love, they decided to send pink
chaddis (panties) to Pramod Muthalik on Valentine day. One must
condemn all the hooliganism that Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena (even
Shriram Sene) have been doing on Valentine Day, which in my opinion is
a Hindu festival (Please visit
http://www.samarthbharat.com/valentine.htm). Hinduism gives a very
high place to love, but the love in Hinduism (or Christianity) is not
something that happens in and around panties. All right-thinking
persons must join up against the mindless and heartless perversion of
love. This is not something about Indian culture or western culture.
It is about preventing damage to a fundamental universal human value
that transcends all cultures.
From a moral, religious and political standpoint the attitude of CPLFW
is absolutely untenable. No religion or system of morality on earth
can ever accept that women (or men) should drink and indulge in sex
without any restrictions. The public display of panties (as symbols of
love) that CPLFW has indulged in is clearly obscene and obnoxious by
every cultural standard. It is sad and unfortunate that Indian
academic, intellectual and political establishments have not
reprimanded them in the most severe terms.
As I see it, the members of CPLFW are some well-qualified but
uneducated women whose general reading has probably never progressed
beyond text messages on their mobiles. Academic and political class of
the country needs to seriously deliberate upon the problem of growing
numbers of men and women who have acquired training, skills and
degrees but no education. Women who forced the liquor shop to shift
away from their locality might not have been literate but they were
educated and knew their responsibilities to their family and society.
The same cannot be said about the women who are holding up their dirty
panties publicly on the internet and other media. The message emerging
from Mangalore brouhaha is that Indian democracy must face up to the
challenge of growing numbers of literate but uneducated men and women.

ReplyDeleteHmm.. now that the pink chaddi is over, why dont you girls decide something constructive ?, like lets say education for everyone, or cleaning the roads ?, so many things to do, i hope you are over your hangover. I have a new term for you folks, boozing b*tches for India a.k.a BBI's ....
ReplyDeletePost that brilliant poem!
ReplyDeleteAnd people, instead of trying to find unimaginative names for those who're doing something constructive, go and start working on education for everyone yourself.
Dear , i object any violence against men or women. If any one do the crime he or she should be booked by law and we all must do that.
ReplyDeleteTwo wrong think can't be make a right think.

Reproduce and who ask to me to come to reality, it is for them to come out , as i had seen the vilage where people do not get a chaddi to go to school ( i was also among them) , but today seen the Five start also as well as corporate like TATA/Kirloskar also.
What is reality , it is for those need to know , how a man have to fight thier life every day 18 hours to get some food for thier family , where as they get the term : Do not trust men , trust condom.
At the end the unanswered questions whihc even renuka also not answerd:
Does a mother or sisters pain is less when they loss thier son or brother? If so why mor ethan 56000 married men end thier life, but not a single case their wife held responsible? Where as for 28000 married women sucide , it is always men held responsible?
And my dear , i have seen women who do not have a piece of cloth to thier body and on the other hand a women who do not even ready to wear a piece of cloth .
ReplyDeleteThat is the reality and history wittness , bad and good women always there the way good and bad man are exist in the world.
But unfortuately , if we always try to defend the wrong doing of a bad owmen as socail service , hope ravan also done the same and history wittness the result.
Just a lesson for all who try to justify the wrong doing of a women group as social service.
What next?
ReplyDeleteNot "YOU women do something about this"
but
*I* will beat the heck out of any person I see next harassing a woman/ beating her
Dear Mr. Swarup,
ReplyDeleteAs I see it the women of this group must have read more than you since they know how to spell and punctuate.
Seriously,
Just Another Member.
@Swarup
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure how to respond to your comments above.
@Swarup
ReplyDeleteAnd P.S. some amount of coherence in your comments would be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteAs a reality only this we find every where blown up , result all the law and policy made, let the women do the crime, it will be termed as social service .
Panties and Perverts : Sagarika Ghosh
http://ibnlive.in.com/blogs/sagarikaghose/223/53147/panties-and-perverts.html
With her i had strong debate , where i said, mama, the way it is going on, the huge father less child society and a animale society is on the way.
Sagarika conclodes as under :
"Maybe India's young instead of trying to be like characters from Sex In The City, should try to emulate Sarojini Naidu and Jawaharlal Nehru.
At the end just a real statics , which i know none of pink chaddiwala know :
We wonder Whose life is in More Danger in India : Men or Women?
@Swarup
ReplyDeletePlease for the love of god, some coherence would be greatly appreciated. For more details, read comment above yours
That is the reality of India. One hand we wittness several women of india have to fight for get a galss of water, a piece of cloth, a right to go to school, a right to get euall right to get thier parental assests/property , at the same time we find women who fight for get the right to drink beer, get right to remove the underwear .
ReplyDeleteAt the end i must say , women like Nisha , who neither respect the Indian society or culture, know very well how to remove the underwaear of Indian men and misue the same to sale thier own agenda and promote the hate against each others.
rest i leave it to the so called literate people to take thier own act and execute.
Any activity , for person and spouse i am always there, then my objections will be always to any activity in the name of Men vs women or husabnd vs wife logic and theroy.
Crime is crime and punishemnt should be as per crime irrespective of any sex, caste or religion.
What next you ask, eh?

Ready to take on the Muslim right wingers? Or did your pink chaddi become wet at the prospect of confronting the Muslim fanatics?
Dear Khann, I had request 10 Pink cahddi, so that i can give those who do not have a piece of cloth to cover the body , even our bangalore guys also gone, but they said it is not ment for us and even Nisha refused to give, as i have not trashed any women till date.

ReplyDelete@All@who want to keep religion out of the picture
ReplyDeleteI thought that the Pink chaddi campaign was all about fighting for rights of women against oppressive forces or is it? Have you suddenly decided to restrict your area of operation for pub going women only?
If that be so, why are the enlightened people discussing over at the facebook consortium indulging in an expansionism by directing their ire towards the BJP and RSS (perceived right wing organizations like the SRS) who are not at all related to the SRS incident?
Why don't you please put in a word to them as well to keep the discussion to the point and focussed on pub going and SRS?
>>Muthalik & Co beats up women ( and men ) at a pub
ReplyDelete** The consortium of *whatever* women sends muthalik and co chaddis
>> Muthalik and co would get insulted, and end up doing something worser
** Consortium and supporters will do something more amusing to insult them more.
No offences to anyone. Good luck to u all.
I have never loved loose, forward and pub-going women more than NOW! You shall inherit the earth, i tell you! What was that Shakespeare poem? Wait...was there one? Anyway, doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
@ swarup,
ReplyDeleteYou equate the pub molestation incident to how women protesting with placards in front of a liquor store( with no furniture or enclosure) .These women who apparently are sisters and mothers and wives of these alchoholic men are victims to these men getting drunk .When their men drink and beat them up , they have every right to protest. men drink and go home and beat up their wives. These women at the pub were neither alchoholics nor were they related to the goondas in any way.Yet the goondas took the liberty to beat them up.what the hell is that? Please do not compare these two situations.
hi
ReplyDeleteShame on the Mangalore Mayor for prosecuting the Central minister Renuka chowdary .
ReplyDeleteI mean, this mayor has no gall to go prosecute goonda who molest the female citizens of the state.Yet, he has all the time and energy to file a case against a woman minister, a central govt minister , who questions this lack of law and order in the state.
ReplyDeleteLPF can do some other things also like blood donation.it can control eve teasing.it can also help lovers with help of councelling.
nisha,i think u can do something.u can create a wave in youngsters like u already did.
swarup as far as i know none of these women... went ahead and strangled another with the panty did they... what they are doing is peaceful...if you support peace this is the right way to do so. i recall the pigs sent pink sarees... dont you think had they done this before ppl would not have to do all this.... so how are what we have done by sending this wrong...

ReplyDeleteClick here to see Nisha's pink panty after got drunk and wet
ReplyDelete@Bugsy , exactly the same is applicable for you my dear, get a life of human insted of promoting the animale society. Learn to take some socail responsibility , which a illerate women does at village and hope read the indian consitituion.
ReplyDelete@zizowen , hope you have read the same in above comment :
ReplyDelete"Right to drink is not a fundamental right under Constitution of India
or for that matter under any international charter of rights. On the
other hand, Article 47 of the Constitution of India says, "The State
shall endeavour to bring about prohibition of the consumption except
for medicinal purposes of intoxicating drinks"
And the conclude remark of Ms. Sagarika Ghosh , who had activitly support all women's right:
"Maybe India's young instead of trying to be like characters from Sex In The City, should try to emulate Sarojini Naidu and Jawaharlal Nehru.
ReplyDeleteNext, i stick to the same , beating and taking the law in hand is not accepted , unfortunately when a women do the same termed as social service .
ReplyDeleteWhy this double standarad?
Stop treating indian men as free ATM machine, earn your own bread and butter by own hard work, that is life.
Fruther in the mangalore the pub itself was illegal business and all the dram done to save the pub owners, it is not my comment, it is the investigation reprot of NCW itself.
And those great lover of Renka must know her all activity:
ReplyDeleteIt is the another truth that her ( Renuka) associates and our so called WCD minister openly says after passing the biased Domestic Violence Act:
· It’s turn to suffer the Indian men, as women suffered for long. (Like as Muslim Kings had destroyed a lot of temple, so let demolish the entire Mosque in India).
· Don’t trust Your Men, trust Condom, and in the name of reduce the AIDS. (Forget that the AIDS increased by multiple partner sex and condom used for multiple pattern sex, not for single pattern sex, which we term as married couple)
· It’s Diwaly Gift to Indian women. (With in two weeks, four women send behind the bar under first DV act case in Pune and one age old women left her own house as her daughter-in-law walk in her house with her all friends and parents)
Number of cases when the husbands got the child visiting right or child custody, immediately the Domestic Violence act came as gift and the creation of “father less child ” society awarded and our media friends openly announced, a child reunited with mother, but forget to mention that a child became “father less”.
Last few Months all Indian Media (NDTV/CNN-IBN/IBN7/ZEE/India TV) started to justify that “Divorce is not a dirty word today”, as in Delhi itself more than 9000 Divorce cases filed and more than 55% filed by Women only.
ReplyDeleteSeems it was a dirty word till the time Men filed more Divorce cases, long back, but as now a days it is the women who are filling the Divorce cases more than man, so it should not be treated as “Dirty Word”.
ReplyDeleteCan any one say , why a pubgoing, loose forward women should pay less tax to goverment?
What Next ? If today people are taking the law in hand one of the main reson the corroption in Judicery, police and goverment servants and on that line:
ReplyDeleteWith the backdrop of a legal tussle over disclosure of assets by Judges, the *Campaign for Judicial Accountability and Reform*, is organising a public protest outside the Supreme Court, in a bid for greater transparency and accountability in the judiciary, urging judges to make their assets public and put an end to the embarrassing controversy, which has further put the judiciary's credibility under the scanner. Kindly note, this will be a *silent demonstration* with placards, banners and posters *without any shouting
of slogans*.
The public action will be held from *10a.m. - 1:30p.m. on the 26th of
February, 2009.* You are requested to join us and kindly *assesmble in front of the Indian Law Institute*, Opposite the Supreme Court, Bhagwan Das Road.
Your presence at this demonstration will greatly contribute towards the purpose and we look forward to seeing you there. Kindly circulate this email to your network of organisations and friends who may be interested in being a part of this pubic action.

ReplyDeleteummm...the first page does quote a certain crime "bure" that actually has a census covering separate statistics for suicides in married men and women!
Ahem...ignore my comments swarup (lovely chap that you are)...I'm high on my airconditoning
:-)
Wow, swarup. A post every 5 minutes. You seem to have a lot going on. Anyway, what is your point exactly? All above-poverty line women are bad. They are taking advantage of loopholes in the law. They are fighting for foolish things like the right to drink alcohol and dress provocatively. And if they do these things, society will go to hell because weeny guys like you won't be able to handle strong women who aren't under patriarchal control.
ReplyDeleteYou are not giving any solutions but are just trying to give a feeble counterpoint to everything. Romantic notions of Indian culture are being flung in the air. I think its pretty clear that we are evolving as a society, though disproportionately. It's time we all accepted that there's a new 'indian culture' on the way, one which is a mixture of the good old traditions, and some assimilated from other cultures. Thats how its always going to be. accept it.
Gender budgeting: Renuka loses out- Hindustan Times
ReplyDeleteGreat News for Renuka Lovers. She had enough time to promote and fund for : "Do not trust men, trust condom" or ask women to Join "PUB Bhoro campain" , but have little time to do the Job asigned to her. Still we common people fooled and never wake up.
http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?sectionName=HomePage&id=6e0deaf1-4f54-4d99-9d3b-693b1250b834&MatchID1=4924&TeamID1=4&TeamID2=2&MatchType1=1&SeriesID1=1244&PrimaryID=4924&Headline=Gender+budgeting%3a+Renuka+loses+out
Women and Child Welfare Minister Renuka Chowdhury may be the government’s face when it comes to women issues, but she fares poorly in spending money meant for them.
ReplyDeleteMy point , a crime done by women should not be termed as social service .
ReplyDeleteRest, make the law gender equll, men/women replace by the word person, 10 times more women will be convected behond resonable dought as criminla, where as the cases you refred, it is men proved behond resonable dought , that the case was false and fabricated , this are the law not like other law , here a men have to rpove his innocence.
ReplyDeleteAllready given for your ready reference and further more, wich definetely you will not find in PUB , that also in under age ( as per delhi, belwo 25 yeras are not allowed in pub , you mentioned you are 19, so first ask delhi goverment to change that, if you are so mature and can take care your own bread and butter by own hard work).
Article 29 of the Constitution
"Any section of the citizens residing in the territory of India or any
part thereof having a distinct language, script or culture of its own
shall have the right to conserve the same"
Article 51A, which constitutes Part IV-A of the Constitution, reads as
under:
It shall be the duty of every citizen of India
(e) to promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood
amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and
regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to
the dignity of women;
(f) to value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite
culture;
And at the end , a am against any people who promote the hate against each others and violate the indian constituion. If you do not respect Indian constituion, better go to that coutry where you feel comfortable, instead of running anti-men and anti-india campain.
Further :
Taliban is the creation of USA and Pak!

Replace the word Men/women to person and Husband/wfie to Spouse.
You agree or not, we are moving towards the idology of animale society and huge fund invested and getting invested through media and so called women groups form even UN/UNIFAME, it is just our caution and be ready for huge father less child society.

ReplyDeleteThere's this beautiful image in my head of a shaggy haired hipster looking dude walking on a peaceful street yelling out to people to run away to the south pole if they want to live because the entire earth is about to be submerged by the rising flood- or something. And for a while a person or two come by to reason, then for a while they come by to observe or slight or pretend to indulge, but eventually, no one cares.

ReplyDeleteswarup.... why exactly is liquor bad... tell me that...not all ppl who drink are drunkards.. and if your whole basis is illegal activities then dont you think that thats what should be stopped people giving illegal substances...also no one asked to send your 16 year there... there is a reason there are age laws to this arent they....
ReplyDelete@Swarup - how will changing the law solve anything? Apparently men have the shorter end of the straw as regards the law. but then why weren't the goons at mangalore dealt with by the law at all? No, i disagree. Changing the law will do nothing. We need to change our approach. If every person openly condemns foolish violence like this, then these guys will fade away. That means everyone - especially the underprivileged and illiterate. They're the ones who are the votebank of these guys, and they're the ones who need to stand up and shout!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and the fundamental rights are a sort of 'guideline' as to what is expected from society.
Hi,
ReplyDeletewhy cant all you pub, going loose woman go to
SWAT valley and suggest Taliban all your "forward" facts ?
They will remove all your chaddies..You wont have to donate it.
Especially NIsha susan,
You can do all this only in india and that too only against Hindu right wing, because what ever they might do,they are not basically violent.
@Bugsy
ReplyDeleteDare you to go public with your idenitity on this issue :-)
there are so many who want to remove your chaddy, without you donating it .
Since all woman in here are "loose" ,"forward","pubgoing" , you all might have already been understood by many men as Free instruments for enjoyment.
Be safe at the pubs and keep ur butt safe.
Born Hindu,
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, as far as I can see most of us here use our own names.
Best,
Nisha
ReplyDeletedear born hindu...
ReplyDeletewe dont go to the taliban because they are not in india, nothing to do with us..but maybe if women here show that there are always ways like women around did with voting, working and education then maybe women elsewhere will also feel confident to do so too. Also "Born Hindu", people are born a religion but its their actions that make them that and freedom and nonviolence are the main pillars... look that up in the vedas my friend. Furthermore unless people like you dont shut up india will be the next saudi in a saree..wont that be our culture eh
I want a formal organization of these pub going loose and forward women
ReplyDeleteWork from home

ReplyDeleteNisha,
ReplyDeleteWhy did you not protest against the media people who were party to the action?
They were present there, shot from the best angle the whole incident. But if they knew that this would happen why did they not inform the police or why did they not stop the goons.
You are looking for a next project, why not highlight the rot in the media.
@Nisha
ReplyDeletei thought all you "loose " "forward" woman with no morals were going to have a heart attack by the way you were screaming at Sree ram sena and muthalik,
it was just violence which just happened and it was truly not planned by Sree Ram Sena.
suggested by the videographers present to caputre it instantly.
Another point about abuse.
I am against any abuse or violence against any woman in any country. I have a mother, sister and have lots of female friends whom i care for.
But you dont have the right to tell me about abuse because you have abused a whole religion,
@Karishma,
ReplyDeleteWho said you dont have to protest?
Do you think,if somebody raises a hand on my sister, i would sit and watch?
But i dont apprciate pub culture, and i dont want any one close to me go there either.
If you are a pub goer, i know who is a "pervert".
You girl want to take off your chaddy, remove it and thow at every man you see around.
Dont tell all other indians what they should do.
BTW your holyness is supporting alchoholism for everyone ?
@Karishma again,
ReplyDeleteYou said something like "A...le".
Shows your culture, wish you were born in SWAT valley and not in my motherland
@Bugsy,
ReplyDeleteWhat i understand about you,is that you are a suppressed wife, who never get to voice her opinoion at home, so out you are here, on blog to release your feelings and spit your venom on all men.
Where did i support rape?
Dear i have sisters and a mother.
Kindly sort out your depression caused by your personal life, then serve the public
@zizowen
ReplyDeleteYou dont have to go to taliban in afghanistan,
you can find many pockets with conservatives from other religions.
Watch yourself
@Karishma for "if it made me cry"
ReplyDeleteSick people like you make me,cry.
Dont act,too bold in anonymity.
laugh. Come on Born Hindu, don't cry. You can stay anonymous. No hassles at all.
ReplyDeleteNisha
Bugsy Malone.... if Born Hindu does not come back with a vaguely coherent response then his comments are going ta-ta bye.
ReplyDelete@Bugsy
ReplyDeleteyour response to swarup shows how depressed you are.
"Extention of stove, washing machine and vagina
:-)"
Very picturisque , but pretty dumb :D
If you are married, then get a divorce soon, because it is getting on to your nerves.
Otherise you will blame every male in India for your pathetic life
@Nisha,
ReplyDeletethat is what you can do, since you dont have a valid arguement, delete comments
again @ Nisha,
ReplyDeleteyou want me to disclose my identity ?
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Bugsy
ReplyDeleteyour laugh sounds maniacal,
Kindly dont talk about Hindu culture,
it hurts when people like you speak about it.
Am fedup of you people;
I remember i have a mother and sister, because i dont want any girl to go dope, booze and dance nude in pubs because i think they too have dads and brothers and they too might feel the same,
the above sentence is not about you, since you dont have any man at home :-) if you had you wont be doing such buffalo work
@bugsy,
ReplyDeleteThe comments written here are personal, hence they are being answered personally.
If you dont want to be targetted personally, aviod addressing answeres to me and focus on your cheddy campaign
@bugsy LAST TIME
ReplyDeleteif you are not trying to solve problems by addressing "PERSON"ALLY,
why did you all send chaddies to MUTHALIK?
and not the guys who thrashed those woman ?
for MEDIA COVERAGE,MALIGN SAFFRON.
I am living a wonderful life,thanks.
ReplyDeleteP.S.
ReplyDeletewow! Karishma great one!! standing ovation...
ReplyDeleteBorn Hindu...PLEASE DO ALL OF US A FAVOUR..AND disappear..take a hike to Himalyas..and spare us ur 'wise comments'!
Dear born hindu,
ReplyDeleteI'm not born hindu.
ReplyDeleteBorn hindu, your very name scares me. I think religions have become like football teams, and people become so involved in the whole game that they shall do anything to fight for their teams. But why? 2000 years and humans are still the same. Apparently evolution has stopped.
Good luck with your campaign fellows :-)
ReplyDeleteEnough of blogging, will see you all on streets.
@Karishma,
ReplyDeleteI am not looking out for people to pick fights, but maybe it was something in your campaign that pissed me off.
As you said, its a "matter of your freedom" to "wear your chaddy" or "throw at others"
This is what makes India, what it is.
Freedom...
@speakeazee
Good points, clear thinking. You are meant for blogging. Godspeed.
No hard feelings fellas.
Au revoir!
@Karishma,
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, "i dont want to tell you, what you should be doing".
ReplyDeleteAnd dude, get over the chaddi-throwing mania that you have!! It just makes you sound ridiculous!
Oh and you are not interested in "telling" me/us what to do?? Ummm let me just quote you here in case you have forgotten your own statement "why cant all you pub, going loose woman go to
SWAT valley and suggest Taliban all your "forward" facts ?"
Yeah if that's not telling someone what to do I don't know what is! Now you see what I mean by you skirting the issue?
Did not realize that I was logged on to a different google account before posting.

ReplyDeleteMs susan pink chaddi to them as christanity(urs religioun) is now
lets check urs Sickularism
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in Valentine's Day: Rahul Gandhi
ReplyDeleteOn his three-day visit to the state, Gandhi is traveling in Saurashtra, Central and South Gujarat districts, meeting students, inspecting the drive of Youth Congress to recruit new members and looking after the preparation of its elections.
When asked about his Valentine, Gandhi said, "I do not believe in Valentine's Day, There should not be one day to show that you care for somebody."
send him too chaddi !!! white, black, or khadii
@J
ReplyDeletei just came back to see ,if it is done with.
@Bugsy
i was not abusive.
Look at the responses from your "chaddiwalas" what i have got,and i have not been more abusive than that.
@J again
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK-3k7Rt1zw
Please have a look at that youtube video and tell if your LOVING BROTHER AND FATHER, would love to see you ,among those kids like that hiding your face with a clothe.
And kindly dont talk about drugs and booze being different, and pubs and parties being different. There is no moderate consumption of alchohol, moderation is possible only in THIS BLOG. Alchoholism begins in moderation and ends in drowning that person in booze.
Dont push me again.thanks
@Bugsy
ReplyDelete"Crass crap from passers by"
Why do you always try to irritate me ?
I dont give a penny about you or any of your chaddy walis, because this "chaddy show" has not made you people "IMPORTANT", in any way, in public view.
If you decide to arrange a public meeting,
you will understand what indian public thinks of "loose, forward, and pubgoing woman".
you will see yourself garlanded with and later neck deep in heap of condoms, maybe more things, like chappals and spoiled eggs.
maybe if you instead of promoting condom throwing if you actually gave them out india would not have such high rates of HIV.. furthermore clearly this is not getting attention from people in india agreed but you sure are giving it tons of attention for something you dont care about.
ReplyDeleteAhem ahem.
ReplyDeleteZizowen, I couldn't have said it better, you covered all the points, I don't even want to address that person directly now, he is just an incoherent fool who half the time doesn't have an idea about what he is writing (I mean, for God's sake when the hell did I ever express a wish to be related to him for him to say "No thank you", or when did I ever condone drugs?
ReplyDelete@Born Hindu
ReplyDelete"I dont give a penny about you or any of your chaddy walis,"
if this is the case, why are you super enthu about replying to every sentence of whats written here??Please go get a life
@Karishma, Bugsy, yasha211,zizowen and others..lets NOT waste our time in replying to this person...the more we reply to him the more we give him attention..he really doesnt deserve it..let him live in his prehistoric age, where women are beaten up and thrased and suppressed..if (god forbid) anything of such sorts happens to his wife/sister/daughter, maybe then he'll learn
@Saima,
ReplyDeleteDont talk about my sister.
More over, how such INTELLIGENT AND BRAINY INTELLECTUALS like you
forget that, the camera and press were ready to shoot that "1 min show" and there too you can just see,a girl being chased and somebody trying to hit her ,unfortunately one of them fell down.
I am pertty sure, you guys are not used to VIOLENCE or have seen what VIOLENCE is.
and since you are talking about violation of human rights, now you since you are almost done with sree ram sena , Go for Catholic church in Kerala( Murder of NUn,for seeing threesome in convent canteen between Priests and NUn,suppression and abuse of Nuns within convents)and SIMI and indian mujahiddeen,
( Supression of woman, against female education,Violence which means..real VIOLENCE with bombs and swords)
Any guys in here ready to take the challenge?
I am 100 % sure, none here have the guts to face violence in the streets.so here you are,
trying to collect chaddis online and defame symbols of religious organizations, and fill pubs.
Kindly dont think any of you can shut me off,
ReplyDeleteBecause my "right" is my "RIGHT" and you cannot impose it on me.
You dont have to give me attention,i just commented and you replied because you felt there was a need to reply.
@Zizowen
ReplyDeleteif you had distributed those chaddies instead of throwing it on one person, it would have been much better too.
i never used the word "whore". think again
maybe you dreamt.Dont respond when you are half asleep.
I dont have the right to tell anybody what not to do.i agree, But when it concerns my country and my surroundings, yes i have as much RIGHT as you.
if you can think of sending Chaddies, we can think of sending condoms to you
If you can think of sending every female to pub, i have my RIGHT to think, it is a wrong approach and i believe it is wrong for
MEN or WOMAN To be alchoholic or live on DOPE.
Go to rave parties yourself dude, dont try to increase female numbers in there.
@Yasha,
ReplyDeleteI would repeat the same.
I think ,your direction is pretty wrong
If you want to stand up for human rights,
there are many many places within india.
i dont have to tell you where(when i mention that, you guys will call me Fascist)
if you send chaddies to those who stop woman from having education, throw acid on face for not wearing burqa, thrash girl for tattooing
"Masha allah" on her hand then i would say
you people are not biased.
@Nisha Susan
You can send some chuddies to Catholic church in kerala too, as they too have very poor human rights records, Refer "Amen" Book by a Nun who reveals what happens inside those convents.
Else just SHUT UP.
@Karishma
ReplyDeleteDid i ever call you by names? I thought you called me an "incoherent fool".
Do you expect others to digest all the crap you talk, and not respond ?
You dont have a solid base to stand on, leave alone talking me out.
Blogging is the most suitable media for you, and trust me SAFEST ONE too
Completely agree with you Saima.
ReplyDelete@karishma
ReplyDeleteGood girl :-)
Fare well.
@saima
ReplyDeleteYou are a law student and you follow islam;

@Born Hindu
ReplyDeleteplease mind your own business... will u?? by the way are u unemployed?? seems so
should'nt u also do something constructive?? and where did religion come in between??
ReplyDeleteI have done and am pretty much doing many constructive things for myself,my family , my community and my country.
ReplyDeleteReligion, came in between because of your double standards.
Clean your house, then clean others'
Why does it annoy you when i talk about your religion ?
ReplyDeleteAll you geese together, can hurt others feelings and cant take anything on yours?
@saima
ReplyDeleteI love all things about you, mentioned below except the teddy part, & YOUR CHADDY CAMPAIGN.
love eating, love rains, love reading..love the smell of petrol, love the smell of water on the mud, love running my hand through a furry soft toy, love sleeping on the cold side of the pillow..love doing nothng
i don even want to waste a mili-second replying to any of ur further queries...GO SEE A DOCTOR...
ReplyDeleteand reply/ abuse as much as u please..i will refuse to acknowledge u/ur posts
@saima,
ReplyDeletei did not abuse you and use a single bad word.
if you are talking about mentioning "CHADDI" everytime, you were talking of removing it and sending to somebody else. it was more obscene.
if you and some of your friends think i need a doctor, millions in india might think ,you all need doctors.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Zizowen,
ReplyDeletei repated atleast 5 times, within my script
that what "Sree Ram Sena activists did is wrong" and " I dont endorse neither abuse nor violence against woman".
ReplyDeletefirstly i dont know what you are talking of as you should clearly know by now not to judge without knowing, i HAVE NOT sent a pink panty to RSS as far as i am concerned i sent it to the guilty so before you make assumptions do find out the truth...
ReplyDeleteReligion is definitely the crack cocaine of the masses!!
ReplyDelete@Zizowan
ReplyDeleteI think u should not be wasting time in this blog, because you are not following what this campaign is about and your answer is "i dont know" to anything that has happened.
Read Nisha susans interview .she says Muthalik is a franchise of RSS.
Anyways good luck the defamation suit.
All of you might be going to the court, are you not? or just your BOSS, Nisha susan?

ReplyDelete@Bugsy,
ReplyDeletethe title the hacker put on your facebook group really sounded near perfect.
Get ready for the court, dont send Nisha alone
@Bugsy,
ReplyDeleteWhich ever comment, does not match your views are trolls,ya ?
If you dont have the stomach to accept criticism, dont do such things.
"PUB GOING ,LOOSE & FORWARD LADY " :-)
geeeeeeeeeeeeee,
gave u all more than enough importance, guess its enough.
ReplyDeletegood luck in the court :-)
bye
i find it strange that women (if some of you above are women at all and not embarrassed pink-chaddi-gifted men) are fighting over this campaign which clearly supports the social rights of women
ReplyDelete!
@ bugsy , who says - "
ReplyDeleteIMHO, Islam is famous for female oppression in the name of religion.
But, its for the muslim women to realise it and WANT a change.
Let them start a protest against their own fatwas and oppressive religious practices
and then we can stand solidly behind them.
Loser!

ReplyDeleteBorn Hindu, stop threatening other users in the comments section.
ReplyDeleteSwarup, no one can hit anyone else. that is the point here.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to protesting against islamic right wingers , who have even passed a fatwa to ban girls from going to schools,( I am sure the right to go to school is as important a right as going to the pubs ) you say the muslim women should start the protest & you will support later.

ReplyDelete@bugsy ,
ReplyDelete1.Your contention that mullahs dont send bombs is laughable.
@bugsy
ReplyDeleteYou all because of your campaign, gave this guys fuel and let them gather support.
otherwise he would just have remained a local politician with local clout.
now...bottle the demon which you brought out
@bugsy(as a well wisher)
ReplyDeleteSince you live in karnataka, unlike nisha susan
keep away from dark alleys.
I know you all are just good at using CAPITAL letters and RED COLOUR and chaddies to express
your feelings, and would faint at the sight of blood or violence.
Truly, i wish you people had done something more creative than, giving undue publicity to people and getting infamous yourselves.
@Ravi
ReplyDeletei spent days trying them to get rid of their double standards,
But all that they could understand is that i am a "Hindu fundamentalist";
i tried to explain these points to a woman here(who calls herself bugsy)
1) i would have supported them if they did a candle light vigil
2) protest against all violence against woman in all religions, not just hinduism(But i guess she values safety of herself and her family, so dont want bombs and swords spoil her peace at home,so they chose Hindus who never respond even if stamped to dirt)
3)i am against pub culture like many indians;not that i am against boozing,but most of the pubs supply dope and are pickup points;
Unlike many of those who are commenting here,i have spent quite some time in mangalore and know how it works.
@ Bugsy
ReplyDeleteI read something interesting which you had written to ravi which i felt , i should answer:
U are not IMPORTANT and dont even value a penny. But if i dont answer this,(consider this personal attack or whatever,i dont care, you deserve what ever you get,on NET or in REAL)
"There have been some abusers and trolls calling themselves "Hindus" who have filled this blog with vomit and hate -
mainly targetting the woman - Muthalik style."
Dear, Get a life.you are just finding reasons to tell people woman are being attacked, and you are the protectors of woman in india.
you are nothing better than Sree ram sena.
If they wronged by attacking woman.
YOU WRONGED BY DISGRACING indian woman,
chaddies!!bah! do you think all indian woman are like you?i dont think so.
do you think any WELL BROUGHTUP GIRL would like to send her undergarments to men???
i dont want to comment on you. i have understood ,you dont have clue to anything that i am asking you.
"The language used is sick, ridden with personal attacks and most times skirting the real issue.
Some of these people sound like jobless eve teasers. One of them seems to be into pimping too - wanted to export us woman to taliban to get raped. (so much for protecting Indian women and preserving "culture")"
@bugsy again
PIMPING: are you the commodity to be pimped?
i think you can pimp yourself, since you can send your undergarments to others.
you know very well, what i mentioned was,in any intolerant country, pub culture wont be tolerated and skimpy clothing and sending chaddies.
JOBLESS EVE TEASERS:
anybody who answer you tit to tat,you try to frame them as "hindu fundamentalists" or "muthalik type"
god bless you.
be safe.
@Bugsy,
ReplyDeletei had stopped replying; you made me do this.
Believe me, you cant expect much patience from others (man or woman) if you tell such things on face,
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@bugsy,
ReplyDeleteAs expected , You do not have an asswer to my points.
Sorry.
correction in my earlier post ..
ReplyDeleteRead "If the chaddi campaign was really against gender inequality," in place of "If the chaddi campaign was really against gender equality,"
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAm fedup of all this.
ReplyDeleteCrap politics. NIsha susan wil be given a congress ticket pretty soon, and all her fellow campaigners will regret their wasted time. good luck
@Bugsy sister,
ReplyDeleteread your points here. Felt really good.
You are very well informed and your language is very touching.
I totally agree to "gender equality" point mentioned.
But dont you think, this case was given undeserving amount of publicity, where as there are many other happenings within India
which are not addressed at all?
When you start sending chaddis to all others,
who have oppressed woman(eg: Catholic church, nuns :ref "Amen" by Sister jesmy,Since you always send chaddies to the head and not the hands which do the crime, guess you will have to send them to bishop which is really bad, since it is really disrespectfull; )
Please read the below link and send him some chaddies too : http://noburka.blogspot.com/2006/11/indias-leading-muslim-cleric-describes.html
And when you fall short of chaddies, i will with all my heart donate some too.
Long live secularism, May everyone be equal in India.
Not just woman be equal to men, but also
let all religions be treated equally.
@Bugsy

"Maybe you are right.
Why do you use the word "Hindu"and even dare of adding it with "taliban".
if you are talking about freedom for woman within "hindu" community in 21st century, sister do you really live in india?if yes, are you blind? i wonder..because from what i see,
except for like " Fathers not letting their daughters come home late, sometimes restricting usage of mobile phones, not letting them drive cycles on mainroads, and sometimes not letting them wear short clothes" i have not seen any less freedom for girls than for guys.
these restrictions originate from love and care, not hate.
Dear, Your eyes are fixed towards west,
kindly look back and inside your country.
"Wife giftwrapped " and deliverd by my parents:
I wont blame you, i would blame it on your upbringing.
I have heard many feminists shouting how female infenticide is an evil..but dont know much about what they have done towards,it
Trust me, instead of asking chaddis, if you had truly initiated a campaign against it,i would have donated funds within my limits too.
---------------------
"What if you are wrong? Have you never been loved, that you need to wage war on 500 million women at once? What if you are wrong? All these years your point of view has been the common one and has led to nothing but tears and misery. "
I can feel your pain thinking about woman, but out of the 500 Million you mentioned i think only less than 1 lac might talk like you, and
i do suggest you elaborate on the tears and misery which is gender specific.because, since you have 50,000 facebook members, you can guide all of them towards such issues, once you are done with defacing muthalik.
---------------------------------------
"A woman is a human being like you are, not a 'Devi' or a 'Randi'.
About my sister/daughter:
In india from what i know(believe me i have lived in 4 middle east nations, and eaurope too within this age) we have freedom, real freedom which makes us feel free.
for man or woman, there are genuinely concerned people who hold you back, when you fall short of getting into the train. who lend you hand to get into the bus,who let elders or handicapped cross the road too.
Dear Bugsy
what we had was a discussion, i was not trying to wrestle you down. Why do you provocate people when you dont have stomach to stand criticism??
Pain is Humane( not just for woman.)
When was i vulgur? the only vulgur thing here is "Chaddy" which is an undergarment, wrongly used in wrong place
Wish i could donate some boxers too,but you asked for a wrong cause;
Even when you say,you dont want to fight,
you still keep the blame game open.
May peace be upon you too :-)
